Root compiling rom

ik a lot about android and i help ppl when in need. now im in need, i need to learn how to compile android from source for this phone. it would help out alot so that i can be of help to other people who have this phone. i cant compile my files without a codename for this device and it isnt listed in cyanogenmod. is there a way for me to compile from aosp. also how did some ppl for this phone compile the awesome rome kit kat explosion. i would like to know how i can do the same as well.

AFAIK We don't have a tree... Closest thing would come from our sister phone, the Reverb and you can find that here - https://github.com/dark-samus/android_device_samsung_iconvmu

Well now that ik how to compile a rom its easy. But the only problem is getting the files from my rush onto ubuntu. I looked at everything but I cannot extract my phones files to my computer in ubuntu. Everything else goes well except when Itry to compile. There is no output file in it. So what can Ido to get my files via adb. Once that is done I can test it on a virtual machine.

Have you tried getting the rush sorces from slayer72 in kker thread? He may be able to help ya... ive been making a rom for my s3 (sprint) if ya would like some pointers im okay to help. *)

i appreciate that and plz i need some pointers plz. i got cm10 sources on my pc and everything is set up from that. but unfortunately it wont compile without the rush's source. i do need them badly

due to our recovery and kernel already made for this device, what else do i need to compile cyanogenmod? what other files do i need to get off the phone for it to compile?

This is sadly the only help i can give ya.. as i do not own this device anymore. I do know in order to compile CM you need a code name for your device to even get started... on another note.. i do know the reverb (sister phone) has a somewhat stable CM-10.. so my only suggestion would be to talk to the devs working on that rom... link to general questions thread...http://androidforums.com/reverb-all-things-root/698025-oudhs-cm-10-galaxy-reverb-jimmy422-interloper.html

i will look into it. hopefully it works since stock modified roms are good but not good enough
