I have 2 Thunderbolts that seem to have the same problem...stuck on splash screen then turning off then turning back on and repeating.
both were rooted at one time,only one is still. because of some of the things I have tried to recover these phones.
first phone had a problem with the battery dying the owner tells me then it starts looping.
second phone got a car hood slammed on it,then a dead battery also starts looping
so far the only simularitys are they both have had batt probs and both have had screens broken
on the first phone I have tried changing the radio and several different RUU's...alll I accomplished was un rooting it,it will however take flashes,even though it doesnt do any good.
on the second phone I have tried flashing a new radio and an update found here...http://androidforums.com/htc-thunde...uck-splash-screen-recovery-will-not-work.html.
this gives me a different result...it gets stuck on the MDM9K update part on both occastions and the battery heats up if I try to wait it out(the last one over an hour)in the 8 steps to update it bypassed the bootloader OKed 2 thru 6 then suck on the MDM9K.
nether phone will boot into recovery
any new ideas would be appriciated,I have pretty much run out of them.
