Root How to Flash the Huawei Ascend to Stock

Wow, my eyes are burning! I actually read 8 pages of this thread looking for my answer ...
Long story short, I need to flash back to Cricket stock and can't seem to get it done. Using the fast boot method (putting the dload folder on SD card) works for a sec, then I get update failed. And it just sits there and blinks, I have to pull the battery to get it to turn off.

I was hoping the Fast Boot method would work, but it wont update and I don't know why. Also, my phone doesn't seem to have the directory Settings - SD card & Storage. Closest thing is Settings - Storage, but there is no option in there anywhere to do any type of update/flash/recovery.

I also tried the CWM recovery method, and chose "choose zip from sdcard", chose the stock recovery zip file, and it starts, then says Installation aborted. I can't even get that to work for some dang reason. Tried it twice, both times it aborted with no explanation. /sigh

Any idea why the fast boot wouldn't work, and what I could do to make it work? I guess I can go ahead with trying to flash the stock recovery via CWM if I have to ...
I await the pro's direction with thanks,
~Ky

Well bisquits!!! Tried doing the CWM method, it aborted, so I chose to restore my last backup, made just a few minutes before I started messing with it again. Now I'm stuck at the logo screen. If only I could remember where the heck I put that card reader that I bought the last time this happened ... ugh

I've had a ton of problems with fastboot, and I've always solved it with a fresh download and putting it on the card, sometimes it's taken a couple of times.

I am looking how to unroot my phone and see if i can get it replaced.

Metro PCS TapOut Ascend on CM7

Not with this thread... the tapout is slightly different, its stock rom wont run on this phone correctly and vice verce ...

I'm not sure where you can find that info to be honest but ask whoever made the rom.... also if you used z4root or gingerbreak1.2 and there was no stock unrooted dump you may be screwed.

Hey everybody! I'm new around here and I need some help with flashing my ascend. I attempted to remove all the Metropcs bloatware off my phone by rooting it through SuperOneClick and using Titanium Backup. That worked but I went overboard on the deleting and deleted something without backing it up. My phone won't get internet anymore and thats annoying. I wanted to flash it back to redo it and I tried doing the methods posted already but I get stuck with my phone connected to my laptop with the Huawei screen, files on my desktop, and the lil black box comes up saying 'waiting for device' HELP :(

Instal the adb files and try again... maybe even try manually flashing cwm and then flashing stock...

In short adb is not recognizing your device

Okay, so, here's my problem.

Last night my phone (Ascend M860 running stock, rooted, Metro) attempted to update itself automatically. It failed at 1/2 and tried to reboot itself. Problem is, it never rebooted. So after about 2 hours I pulled the battery. Now when I try to power it on it just stays at a black screen that says "Preparing to Update".

I've tried going into recovery and fastboot, but both result in the "Preparing to Update" screen and nothing else.

So, is this fixable by me, or do I need to take it to metro?

1) Copy "dload" folder to SD card
2) Switch off the handset ,then press "Volume Control Upper Key +End Key+ Power Key"
3) Showing successful
4) Remove battery one second ,then power on ,waiting till the os start up

I Did this, and it told me update failed. whats next?

I used the main process of running the scripts on my phone. My phone will not boot up, it will first go to the huwei screen, it will then freeze on the android screen. I've ran the scripts numerous times and have used different downloads each time. However, the process finishes, writes the boot/system/recovery/userdata, and they all check ...OKAY. But when the phone restarts it will still remain frozen on the android screen. Any ideas?

Downloaded, unzipped, powered phone down, restarted holding appropriate buttons, boots into Clockwork, Run Windows .bat file (Win 7 x64) But never does anything just stays on this screen.

Don't boot into clockwork boot into fastboot with power, volume down, and end call button it should just be a white Huawei screen and should be stuck there. If the correct drivers are installed it should work perfectly.

Sent from my typewriter.

I've seen this E:make internal image failed before while messing with the G510. It was something similar at least in TWRP2. Actually, now I recall it was when trying to make a swap partition on the SD card. Don't think it was exactly the same. After looking around I think the E: is your SD card... actually it could refer to Error.
Don't know what the solution is, but if you can't get to system booted, I would attempt to get into Recovery and try and backup my files ASAP, using the Mount USB in custom recovery. Then if I got my stuff backed up to pc, wipe and reinstall custom ROM or firmware.
