Root [Virgin Mobile] More battery problems

Currently running CM11 3/1 LTE Nightly. Battery absolutely plummeted while at work. i took it out of my coat pocket and it was really warm and the battery had dropped about 40% in about 2 hours.

That's what it was at at the end of the day

That was soon after. It says my WIFI was on that whole time but you can see in my notification drawer it isn't? This is the second ROM this has happened to me. No idea what's causing it. There was nothing unusual in the percentages either.

Your wifi was trying to locate routers to get a location. And your phone was probably trying to find a phone tower and failing.

So how do I fix that?

Edit: Airplane mode?

Yes the WiFi is a problem . but you are running juice defender on a kitkat ROM . I would leave the JD off and try to see if this stop your problems

I'm guessing KK has something built in that does the same thing automatically then?

One problem its alot of users having this problem with the WiFi when using the juice defender . its a problem for me I had the paid app for it now I can't use :eek:

Yes I've heard many ppl have issues in some way with juice defender, not to mention I believe it has a task killer built in which will overwork an android all day long, killing an app with an app to android appears as a unexpected or force close in which case it automatically reopens said app, causing the killer to kill it again, restart, etc..etc..

Best bet to try
1. In settings under location turn off GPS and Wifi Location, unless u use something like a map app, shutting it off will still allow weather and map apps and such work, they'll just take a bit longer and u may need to manually set locations

2. Be certain WiFi is set to off, my device has removed the WiFi icon before even tho I was still on WiFi, I forgot and killed the battery low

3. Shut off juice defender or uninstall it to now just to test these things

4. When using a music app, web app, or social network app be sure u use the back key and fully back out as opposed to using home button, otherwise every now and again the apps will pull a little bit cause there technically just paused till u close them

I always add these lines to the build prop and consistently get 12 hours on any ROM

pm.sleep_mode=1
ro.ril.disable.power.collapse=1
ro.mot.eri.losalert.delay=1000

I got 99 problems but my phone charge ain't one.
