Prey Project. How do I send an SMS to myself to activate it?

I don't quite understand where are you going with this particular thread, still let me try to answer what I do get from it.
Prey, as far as I know, is a tracking app for you Android, in case it gets stolen. Since you don't want to have the app on all the time (because, well, you still have your phone with you), they set the "send sms" option to active tracking: that way, if your phone gets stolen or lost, you send that sms from any other phone (it's not so much the number you send it from but the content of it, the key word) and it starts tracking.

If you live in the US, you can sign up for Google Voice and send SMS through a web browser to your phone.

Or you can send an SMS to your phone from any email address. All US carriers that I know of have SMS gateways.

I still have no idea how to activate this piece of shiit app, but want to give one last try before I delete this waste of space. How the hell does Prey parse all my incoming texts to look for the activation code? Do I just email XXXXXXXX@vtext.com ?

Prey is the biggest piece of shit app I have never used.
