I saw you wrote that its CDMA! So would it work with wimax? I believe freedompop uses both. Hopefully it will work on our phones. Has anyone with Freedompop tried it out yet?

I'm glad to see this phone isn't dead. I haven't had it for over a year and back then it was so bad we all set up a PayPal account and donated to buy a phone to donate to a developer. Which turned out to be DM and his crew. They didn't seem to do a huge amount around here but they did what they could. I'm glad you all are still active. I've moved way past this phone. I had the GS4 now I have the HTC one. I just thought id stop by!

Hey fuzhan8 im currently using the MIUI ROM ive edited it so I can use it with GSM! And works super well! Im planing to stay with this ROM! If you have a updated version, you should upload it!

I use miui too..

just tethering cannt use..gsm ok too

Sorry in advance if this is a stupid question.

Does this mean we can use this rom for GSM in USA?
(I'm not sure if this rom bypasses the CDMA USA check)

miui v5 bluetooth can't use,other works.Try 4.4 now,there is no new version

Can you post your ROM here fuzhan8? Its kind of hard to download from your site. I have also posted on Freedompop for folks to head over here and enjoy the work you folks have created. It would just be nice to have as many options under one roof as can be.

Already there is a thread that is dedicated as a repository of ROMs, kernels and others compiled by tatooedgod. That's good for all.

And thank you for all the work you guys create.

can you port your 4.2.2 kernel to this miui rom or optimize the original kernel?i think it is more important than update versions of apks.

To fix crash on the initial setup, install Gapp of SlimBeta 1
I have camcorder with lgcamara
YouTube uninstall updates, and works
Install another version of Sound_About and works Headphones
With Spirit FM UL, works fm radio
GSM network works fine and sms.

Sorry man, days ago i was uploading it, and it takes a while, so I left my laptop on, uploading the ROM, and after a while, I came back and the upload failed! So i got pissed off and didnt try it again! LOL But dont worry im uploading it, hopefully doesn't fail again! -.-

Hi, new guy here.
I installed the MIUI ROM directly from the Chinese website and it works wonderfully. I also live in Mexico and edited the build.prop to work on GSM and I have no regrets. It's simply the best ROM I've tried for this phone.

SO your on CDMA? Oay ill show you how to use it on CDMA just that, you need to know how to edit build.prop

Search for ro.telephony.default_network=1

Now on the ro.telephony.default_network=1 you need to change the last number here are the values.

ro.telephony.default_network
0 = WCDMA Perfered
1 = GSM Only
2 = WCDMA Only
3 = GSM/WCDMA (auto mode, according to PRL)
4 = CDMA / EVDO. Perfered

Theres more, but these are the only ones I know. So good luck to you guys!

I recommend downloading Root Browser from Play Store, its free, and you can edit build.prop with that app!

Im serious, i've tryed uploading it like 5 o 6 times now, and its super super slow, or fails or idk what happens but it doesnt upload. Im trying it again, ive tryed zippyshare first, no success, then Dev-Host and still no success, im going to try Dropbox or 4Shared :/
