Rant Thread - What really grinds your gears?

Well, one of my rants has been nullified-- I have been a it bent out of shape over the fact that the Kindle app on my Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 would not show italics.

That can be annoying, or downright disastrous depending on the book and its content, and I have gotten to the point where I was about to give up on Amazon completely for reading on my device.

However, update to v 4.4.0.48 allows us to change our font. Font Georgia is allowing me to see the italics on my device now and now I can read!

@love works.. Will do! Thx! Might take me a few to think of something about myself:/
which brings me to my rant :D
It's harder to get all my boys ready , make sure everything runs smoothly while I'm gone than it does to get ready myself
I swear .. I think the world would fall apart around them Without me invisibly making sure everything is all good:)
Hopefully I won't come home to a complete disaster!! Actually... Hmmm maybe I do secretly want it to be super hard without me! Total fail:):)

I raised a boy and girl with a functional alcoholic spouse - I was in many ways the 'fun director' like you mentioned. Though I kept my bad habits out of the home, it still caught up with me. Now, since I'm divorced, sober and drug-free, I'm really the odd man out. Time will tell. huh, when you get some time to tot up your high points, PM away. What used to grind my gears in my previous marriage was my ex 'ungrounding' the kids after they were punished for the bad things they did; you see, it made her the 'cool mom' as she consumed no less than a 12-pack every evening - and her behavior hasn't changed. The kids are grown up now, so I hope that they try to make wise life decisions. In your home, it sounds like you're the glue that holds things together. Keep up your good work, and good luck - LW

Well the public transportation system fails me again. I missed my transfer to the second bus on the way to work. Now I'm late, again.

Do we live in the same city? I'll do a more detailed rant after work, but I am developing a profound loathing for the pathetic excuse for public transit in my city. The schedule really belongs in Fiction, especially Fantasy. It certainly bears no resemblance to any observable reality. Throw in cleanliness problems, rowdy ghetto jerks, and bus drivers who seem to like to play "passenger ping-pong" on corners......

(Note: when I say "ghetto", I refer to behavioral patterns that at least in my area are readily observable across the spectrum of skin color and/or ethnic origin.)

Boost mobile so far is horrible. Downloading an app. Its downloading at 10-15 KB/s. I have only used 1.5 GB of data so I'm under the 2.5 GB mark. They promised speeds up to 512 KB/s.

I'm thinking about dropping them as a service if its going to truly be this slow.

I just received a text from Boost Mobile that stated "...effective 5/7/2013, any phone with Boost as a provider will be downgraded to 2G speeds when 2.5 gB of data usage occurs..." Well. When you live in a 3G area, your options for speed are limited, anyway; Boost is now becoming just like the parent carriers, and the phrase 'unlimited data' is a complete line of warm, brown stuff. 2G? Try downloading an mp3 file at that speed. I wonder if MetroPCS offers a better plan for $5 more per month. It looks like all of the secondary carriers will more than likely embrace this business model, and the only way out is to get on a shared data plan, credit willing, and pray that the other users on your plan aren't data hogs. Thanks for the update, sfbloodbrother. LW
