Should I factory reset after KK update?

I'd wait a bit and Gauge how your phone does. A lot of times with an update though. Some applications don't support the new os, so they don't play nice. Can cause screen hang ups and unnecessary battery loss. Over all KitKat should have improved your battery life.

If you do decide to FDR be sure to back everything up before hand. If your battery stays the same after an FDR it's probably best to start weeding out applications to pinpoint the issue.

I'm with Sprint so I'm still waiting on my kk lol. Probably isn't playing nice with Tri-band.

So I performed the FDR, i'll give it a few days.

Though I feel like an idiot now. After the first FDR, I already backed up my apps & media on my SD card with the LG backup app. So then I went to restore everything and after the boot up, I got the "gapps.com or whatever" error, where it says it stopped working but I didn't notice anything weird. So I rebooted again and same thing, but again after using my phone normally for about half an hour I noticed nothing weird but nevertheless it bugged me for some reason so I did the FDR again, I only re-downloaded a couple of apps from the Play Store (just the ones I use often) and again this happened. I was confused as hell so I did some googling and I didn't know that SwiftKey causes that, so I'm very relieved but as I said I feel like an idiot for worrying over nothing and doing the FDR twice :/
