After trying to get onto kit-kat i used this installation guide xda-developers - View Single Post - [ROM][I9505][XXUFNBE][15Mar] Omega v25 ●►Android 4.4.2◄●GoogleSE 4.3●►Omega Files◄● some of the modems i couldnt download so i try different ones, anyways managed to get omega working then all went wrong ,i notced the sound wasnt working ...on anything, couldnt ring out and the phone kept switching on and off ,i managed to get back to stock/root 4.3 and still no sound at all.i dont think i should have been able to get back to 4.3 so i have messed up bigtime, when the phone rings i cant even accept a call.this could be terminal as the phone is no good without sound, also wi-fi isnt working now.please help:(

Yes i think so,the sound problem looks bad to me ,,,

Don't Panic!

Am I correct in thinking that you were originally on a stock Samsung firmware, either 4.3 or 4.4.2, with a locked bootloader and Knox, prior to flashing your 4.4.2 ROM?

You can check by following the instructions in #1.4 of Knox Security & locked bootloader on new firmwares to see if you have Knox and what the status it is.

yes thats correct 4.3 but rooted

Find out which boot loader you are on. There is an app called Samsung phone info which will tell you, or at an adb shell type
getprop ro.bootloader

You can install different non-hlos.bin versions compared to boot loader, but it needs to be from the same android version at the very least. To be safe flash the non-hlos.bin that corresponds to bootloader version. That will get you up to scratch again.

bootloader = i9505XXUFNAD
could you help me on theThen flash the corresponding non-hlos.bin?Im not brill at this as you can tell

Strange you're on NAD bootloader, as you say you are on 4.3. NAD is 4.4.2.
AS you cannot downgrade your bootloader, download NAD non-hlos.bin (referred to as wifi fix) from here

Turn phone all the way off (power off completely) then reboot into download mode
Start Odin 3.09 and browse for the file you downloaded by clicking the "CP" box
connect phone to PC
click Start

Hawker is receiving his daily colonic irrigation from nurse, (see, he's not full of sh**), so, as I appear to be reduced to the role of trusty sidekick on this... I suggest that as you have gone from JB to KK and back to JB, that it might be a good idea to copy off any files that you want, from the SD card, (not system files), and format your SD card in the phone, check that it's working and then copy back your personal stuff.

Can you just confirm exactly what rom/firmware you're currently on. I don't know why but i was wrongly assuming you are on a 4.4 rom when you mentioned sd card issues. I'm not sure what the implications of being on a boot loader that is newer than your firmware.

I would do as ironass suggested and to a full wipe, but then flash a 4.4.2 ROM, either by flashing stock and re-rooting etc, or perhaps try echoe v18
