Can anyone please help with an issue i have had with my calendar's since upgrading to android 4.4.2.

I personally like google calendar and use it regularly, i dont really like splanner that much, since upgrading to android 4.4.2 both google calendar is acting really strange, the options for notifications keep resetting all the time, notifications, vibrate and pop up notification keeps unticking its self and the default reminder time keeps resetting back to 15, i keep setting it to 10 minutes.

in splanner i keep trying to turn off notifications and keep setting them to off, but every time i go back into it its set back to status bar notification.

All i want it for just google calendar to work on its own and thats it, it shouldn't be too much to ask should it lol

Also when i have just set everything the way i want, it will sometimes work first time but then all reset after the first notification.

both calendars also keep popping up with notifications at the same time.

My phone isn't rooted so i cannot just uninstall splanner unfortunately.

Can anyone please help?

Thanks

James

thanks for yor replies, i am not rooted, if i disable splanner wont it just re-enable its self the next time i reboot? or does it stay disabled?

It will stay disabled through a reboot. If you do a factory reset, you will have to re-disable anything that you had disabled, but lets hope you don't have to do an FDR.

I'm having a similar problem with Google Calendar and the stock calendar. After the update to 4.4.2, I started getting notifications from both calendars (same appointments times two). I used to only get Google Calendar notifications. I turn off Google Calendar notifications and they eventually become re-enabled.

I prefer the way the stock calendar manages a group of notifications, providing check boxes to selectively dismiss or snooze specific reminders. That way, I can leave certain notifications "on" until I want to get rid of them. With G Calendar, you have to open each notification separately just to dismiss it, or else you can dismiss all.

All this said, I prefer the views in Google Calendar, and Samsung Kies doesn't sync with G Cal. So I want to use G Calendar but get notifications only from the stock calendar.

Since my last post, the double notifications have stopped. For a while, I had to turn off G-calendar notifications on a daily basis. Now I'm only getting stock cal notifications, but it doesn't maintain the chime I choose, it keeps defaulting to a different one, and I stopped trying to change it back. Maybe that's why the G-cal notifications have stopped. Is it possible the phone associates the tone with the app?

NAH!
