Most appts I place on my calendar disappear (e,g, if I'm looking for the date of an appt after a certain period of time. Some, however do not. It is important for me to keep track of Dr appts, etc. and I don''t want them disappearing, even after they have occurred. I always like to check dates of bills with the dates on my calendar. what can I do to stop the events from disappearing.

Since the appointments I place in my calendar don't disappear, and I'm sure that's typical, the real question is why yours do?

So could you provide as much information as you can about what phone you have, what Android version/ROM, which calendar app you use, whether you sync with Google, with a computer via USB, don't sync the calendar at all, basically anything that might be relevant to how you use the calendar? Because there's something funny going on here, but we'll need more information to work out what that something is.

I use Cozi for my doctor appointments. (We keep the whole family - 3 houses - organized with it.) And I can look back many months and still find an appointment. I haven't used Calendar in a long time.

Phone is Samsung Galaxy S4 - using version 4.2.2, using pre-installed calendar - calendar does not sync with google or anything else. It is simply used to k find the eep track of appts. I enter name of person, time of appointment and save. I always use this calendar when I'm reconciling statements that are received (e.g., Dr. appts, etc. Most times statements are received months after an appointment and I always expect to be able to find the dates and reconcile them. I do not sync calendar with anything else because as I said, I only want to see what I entered and not anything else another app may have entered. Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to give. Incidentally, even though I have to have a gmail acct for an android, gmail is not synced with this calendar. Thanks again
