Root [Boost Mobile] [ROM] Official LiquidSmooth Nightlies!!

If that's the case, I'm pretty sure I flashed Viper back when I 1st started running LS. I haven't flashed it in a long time though. I've been running PlayerPro with it's DSP pack.

lol yeah viper 4 android ding ding ding that right you have just won a million dollars j/k yeah but does it work on liquid only because i had a couple of presets and i liked the way they sound. i mean i could probably just configure the dsp equalizer but it takes time to get that right sound im looking for. and multiple profiles are gonna take even more time because i listen to many types of music so hip hop settings wont necessarily sound as good listening to rock or reggae.:( dsp isnt bad at all just time consuming doing all the settings. this is actually the first time using dsp where i could hear a dif in the sound compared to other devices. if anyone could help me out that would be great thanks.

Bro, I'm 99.9% positive I had it running on LS when I 1st started running the ROM. It should work fine. Just remember when you are installing it to choose how many processors you want it to use. I always chose both. It'll pull more juice but it's worth the sound difference if you're going to run it. I'm happy with PlayerPro right now. It actually has it's own DSP pack that you can download via the app. PlayerPro has always performed well for me. :D

i just noticed there is no su app on liquid. maybe thats where im running into my problem funny tho it asks for permission when i install the app.

ok so su is built into liquid but how do i update the su binary?

i knew i would figure it out i had an older version of v4a checked updates from the app and there were a couple of downloads one for android 2,3 and one for android 4.x installed updated app and drivers installed.

if you decide to go with viper4android on liquid smooth be sure to disable dsp from apps manager they conflict with each other. everything is in working order. thnks biker because i gave up untill u confirmed it worked on older versions.

the new viper has an option called listening device which allows u to choose which head phones you use including the head phones that came with the s3. check it out biker and anyone else who wants a clean crisp sound.

Hello, I'm on build number 4-13. Idirty flashed this build from 4-10 version. Evereything appears ok but once in a while, when the phone is sleeping and I press the power button to wake it up, the screen doesn't come on. The menu and back buttons light but that is it. Anyone have any suggestions. Is it ok to dirty flash each version?? I hate to have to do a factory reset every time especially since I have my apps settings, ringtones, etc the way I like them.I back up my home screens with Nova, is there a way to back up the settings (personilization) so I don't have to go back through and change everything?? If there was a way to do that, I would consider doing a factory reset everytime because it would cut down on my personilization time. Thanks for the feedback.

I am on 4/13 but it is my first install of this rom so it was a clean install and I have not seen the problem you are describing.

Liquid has SU. Go into settings/Advanced Options/Superuser. :D

Glad you got Viper working. It's a nice mod.

Also, you can go into settings/sound/sound packs. That is were you enable Viper.

I have a blue notification light that keeps blinking for no reason. Does anyone else have this?

It's been known to happen on certain build/kernel combinations, has happened to me on a couple of different builds. It should only be happening right after you reboot, such as if you flashed something in recovery and then booted back into system. Just plug your charger cable in for a second or two, then unplug and it should go away.

Yeah that's what I ended up doing. It seemed to be draining my batt faster than usual. I was using the lean kernel with it and it was on default settings. I've come back to my cm backup to get some stuff I needed but plan on doing a clean install of ls again. Any good settings for the lean kernel or should a different one be used??

Use the included Deathly kernel, it's sweet. I've been on battery for five days now since last full charge, and am still at 40%. ZeroLemon battery of course. I'm currently on 4/13 build of Liquid.

I've been using liquid with deathly kernel on stock battery and I unplug at like 7am right before I walk out the door to work and by 11 pm I'm still at 14% battery. Of course I'm under clocked and under volted. The s3 doesn't need all the power its set up with this thing is a beast.

I should steer some Nexus owners to this part of the discussion, they go nuts when they get 8-9 hours out of their battery and brag like it's some big deal!

And the other settings at default?

I'm slightly overclocked, upped the voltages to compensate, highspeed TCP control, GPU at 480, fsync on, no gentle faire sleepers, and 2048 for my read ahead on both internal and external. For the read ahead, ROM Toolbox Pro will benchmark that for you and help you determine the best read ahead size, it won't be the same for everyone.

Also, for everyone, Steve Hoyt is now building the Deathly kernel with a couple of different toolchains, and says the SaberMod version should actually be better than the Linaro version. I'm going to switch over and see. Link here:
