I may have found whats happening, with a flashlight I can see one little metal strip bent backwards in the micro usb port of the phone. I will try to fix it or get it replaced but I guess thats it for me. Thanks for the reply.

im sure the VooDoo will work with the next updates i just hope they update the coding to work for kitkat maybe we wont need to worry about having problems rooting kitkat

I tried this and it didn't work. My phone is unresponsive now. The buttons light up but nothing ever comes up on the screen. I can't get back into download mode and the LG software won't fix it, nor will the factory restore methods.

Any suggestions? Is it bricked or is there another way to enter download mode?

You should always be able to access download mode I've never heard of not being able too you sure your doing vol up + plugging usb cable in

Indeed I am. It worked fine first time around. It flashed the phone, said finished and then it just never rebooted.

I flashed MS65910c_00.kdz by accident, which is why it failed I assume. It's werid cuz the phone comes on but not the screen. I don't get it. I tried it over and over hoping my phone is in DL mode and I just can't see it, but KDZ keeps giving me the device not found error.

Used a cloth pin, ir whatever is called. It was so bent that it broke but it still connected with what was left. Already rooted and installed supersu. Thanks for the suggestion though

Yeah, it would seem I'm screwed. Even the LG software updater fix just tells me it's up to date.

Kinda surprised at how easily this phone was bricked. Especially after all the crap I did to my Galaxy phones which were seemingly unbrickable.

I've hardbricked the f6. No power on, no factory reset, and no dl mode. 2 of them. This is my third f6! This phone is on lock down! Although i did successfully root and flash freedom kernel on all three.

( our phone, our warranty...what the crap? )

Is the phone showing up as qh usb ( or something like that ) in device manager?

im not quite sure how you guys are hard bricking your phones i soft bricked one and fixed it but still had to get a replacement cuz the sim card wouldnt read and nothing i did would fix it

I don't see the phone at all in Device Manager. When I plug the phone in Device Manager refreshes as if something was added, but I'm not seeing it. It doesn't show in file browser either, though the LG software is able to find it.

No clue how I bricked this. I assume it's cuz I used the older firmware. Maybe this newer version of the phone is not compatible. idk.

take it to a corporate store and tell em it just shut off and wouldnt boot after doing the update ota

Yeah, I did that yesterday. They ordered me a new one but it's gonna be 3-5 days.

Probably won't mess with the new one after this. Not at first anyway.

Soft bricked my current f6, the other day. After a change font attempt with rom toolbox. (bootloop ) got it back with lge tool. And firmware update. But if hardbricked there (as far as I concerned ) is no getting it back! I've posted the whole experience here and xda.
