My elite gets really hot when using 3G. Anyone else experiences this? Never had it get this hot so fast on other roms.

Do you have the latest version flashed? Is anybody else experiencing issues with the default camera? As my Elite simply cannot connect to it, so I'm wondering if anybody else having the same issue, or could it be the product of my own incompetence?
I have the 4/07 version currently, so that may be the issue, curse my incompetence to check for the newest release! haha, I shall download the newest version and report back if I continue to have issues. Other than the that little regression from the now outdated build it's running like a dream from the domain of child eagerly awaiting the next morning to explore Disneyland! I also wish to discuss the possibility of this method I found on XDA to port roms: [GUIDE]Port Any ROM - Revised - Now Easier! - xda-developers is this possible to do on an Elite? As I really do want to port AICP from here: [D2LTE]~~AICP~~4.4.2_r2--4.0~[STABLE]+[NIGHTLIES]-APR~19 - xda-developers as I have a Galaxy S3 that runs this beautifully, and I'm wondering if it's possible to use this rom as a base for it. What do you think phenomx4? Can this be done?
Turning those on makes the phone work much much harder than it needs to for very little benefit. I would recommend unchecking them to get real performance, and just use a better maps version.FIX FOR MAPS FLICKERING
I haven't tested this extensively, so I'm not positive about the long-term effectiveness, or if it's effective in every ROM, but if you go into Dev Options in the settings menu, select to disable HW overlay and force GPU rendering, then the maps flickering goes away (at least to the extent I've seen). Also seems to produce more snappy response times in most apps.
