How to "End" music on Galaxy S5?

Just got my S5 and love it having loved the S2 for a number of years.

Just used the music for the first time. Wow, they have not made it easy. Took me ages to find the volume button. Anyway, with my old S2 when you had finished you could hit the bottom left button for the menu and there was the option to "end" the music player. I cannot find this anywhere on S5.

I know you could end all apps but even doing this still shows the track that was in the process of being played.

Also what is the button that has an A with two arrows over it which changes to either the number 1 with two arrows over it and the letter A with one straight arrow underneath it for?

Thanks

c2lass,
Please state what solved your function. If you don't new readers will still be left clueless.

The MOST important part of a forum technical section is the "Resolution of the problem" with the 1st poster stating what he found that fixed his problem.

Why am I so concerned? Because I am a Moderator of a technical forum elsewhere, and the threads there don't don't include a resolution are useless. I index all threads that provide the finished resolution to a hard to find issue.

If curious about that part of me, just google my username.

Now that that part is over, I don't use Music and I have NO CLUE as to what helped you.
I want to know so that I can state unequivocally that xyz will fix it for the next guy. Okay?

The first reply from VentureForth fixed my initial problem. I thanked his/her post to confirm that.
