Samsung Tab 4 or Note

Which would you recommend? I'm considering the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 or the Note 10.1.

Looks like the Tab runs $319 with a newer OS, but has 16GB of storage whereas the Tab has 32GB for $349. Seems like the other specs are similar -- quad core etc.

It's mostly going to be used for web, email, and GPS. I'm going to get a bluetooth GPS for it.

Which Note 10.1 are we talking about here? There's two of them.

Are you looking to do lots of handwriting and annotation? If that's the case, the S Pen is light years ahead of any stylus you can get from a third party, or even Samsung, for the Tab 4. S Pen only works for Notes. If you aren't going to be drawing, highlighting, writing, etc, the Tab 4 should be fine.

Thanks for the reply.

It's this note:

Amazon.com: Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (32GB, Deep Grey): Computers & Accessories

Model # GT-N8013EAVXAR

I don't really need to do any writing. Mostly just using it for web and email. It's currently only a $30 difference.

Oh, that's the wifi only 2012 edition of the Note (there's a new 2014 edition). Anyway, the only advantage that has is a keyboard dock made specifically for it and the S Pen. However for some reason it's left in the cold for updates. Based on what you say you'll be using it for, its going to be fine to use that. One disadvantage is that it uses a 30pin port. It's more difficult to get accessories for that.
