i saw this in another forum and didnt believe it but its true!!!

look --> Prepaid Smartphone Plans & No Contract Cell Phone Plans | Boost Mobile

new tier plans!!!

$40=500mb data, unlimited everything else
$50=2.5GB data, unlimited everything else
$60=5GB data, unlimited everything else

idk what this means for the shrinkage plan; there was a rumor it was leaving; and now i see that is entirely possible given the new plans. once i find out more i will post it here

boost is saying that shrinkage isnt included with the new plans. its in their TOC

==
ok; looking under the new plans they have the shrinkage plans (idk how long they will last), $50-feature phones, $55-smart phones, $60-blackberry plan only, $45-old blackberry plan; all of these plans cap out at 2.5GB..

Looks like the new Boost Mobile plans are identical to the AIO Wireless plans. I wouldn't be surprised if they remove shrinking payments after introducing these new rates.

thats the same thing i was thinking. my hubby has the shrinkage; he wants to keep it, but how the grandfathering in process will work is unknown. and since he wants the new S5, i think they might make him change-eventually...

That would suck for us that got our plans down

They do that and refuse to allow anyone to keep their shrinkage, I'm going to probably switch to something cheaper

It is very confusing how they're doing away with Shrinkage. I've gotten several answers from several sources, and honestly it's because Sprint has explained it in several aspects to their people. It's a bit annoying...

June 1st is the first day that Shrinkage will be considered "Expired" for new customers. Existing customers should be able to keep their shrinkage plan until they switch their phones.

I've asked some people to clear up shrinkage for me, but like I said I've gotten several answers. I have heard that people with shrinkage right now WILL BE GRANDFATHERED into keeping it until they want to switch.

I think this is the most likely scenario since this is how phone companies usually handle these changes. Easy to imagine that when you change phones and go to pick your plan that the new tiered plans will be the only option.

I hope not.

With shrinking plans, I will (after 18 months) be only paying $40 + $5 tax = $45 to Boost Mobile / month while having 2.5 GB. For me that's enough.

The shrinking payment is a great idea. It makes sure that people will continue to pay them. It gives me an incentive to keep paying because I will be punished if I don't. i.e. losing my streak of on time payments therefore having to start over again.
