Root Deleted Original Market APK - Please help

I heard that you can install google play on "Any android device". Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like so.

I have a Motorola Droid A855. Thanks to me trying to follow instructions on how to download google play on this phone, I ended up deleting the original Market apk. Now, I want it back.

I'd like it back - but it seems like None of the instructions I'm following works.

I tried these instructions: [APP] Get your Old Android Market Back - xda-developers

Yet it did absolutely Nothing - and I'm constantly getting a "Parsing" or "Parse" error. I've gotten it so much to the point I'm sick of looking at it.

I tried these instructions: Old Market Installer APK - xda-developers

But it seems like the installer does absolutely nothing at all.

Can someone please help me? Or does anyone have the original market app for the Droid A855? I just doubt it that since I deleted it, it's absolutely impossible to get it back.

Update!

Phew, I actually got it back! I had to go on a bear hunt and find the right version. Thanks to this site. : Google Market update for 2.1 (Vending.apk)

If anyone ever does this on a motorola A855, here's what you do.

You must have:

Web Browser (to download 1mobile app market)
1mobile app market - to temporarily download apps.
(Download these apps from the said market)
Super Manager
Zip Droid
SystemCleanup

1. Download the Patch_Market2.07-signed.zip file on this website:

Google Market update for 2.1 (Vending.apk)

It should go into the Downloads folder within the SD Card folder.

2. Go to Zip Droid - then extract the zip into a new folder (remember the folder name). Make sure this is within the SD Card - as it should be.

3. Go to Super Manager, find the new named folder in the SD Card. Copy it, and then go into the System file (make sure you press RW first). Open the apps folder, and paste it there.

4. Reboot the phone.

5. The app should be in the app drawer. If not, go into Super Manager, and go into the new named folder within the apps folder (in the system folder), and install it through there.

6. Just in case you don't want to "accidentally" delete it again.. Go to the SystemCleanup app, find the Market app and move it to System by long pressing the app description, and pressing "Move app to system" or something similar.

7. Reboot the phone again..

You'll get the original market back! Yay! I saved ya an 4-hour long trip of trying to find it..

Very late to your party BlackTigress, but thank you very much for the detailed write-up. As you know, not too many are using the A855 and therefore this section is pretty much a ghost town.

With t6hat said many come asking questions and then we never hear from them again, but you went above and beyond by coming back with your solution, step by step.

So to you I say:
