Not a question, I fixed the problem but thought I should leave this around for others.

I had a issue about a month ago that may be connected, it sure complicated things for me. My SD card became corrupted. I was able to fix it and recover some of the stuff there, but lost my stored nandroids and TB backups. I should have made new ones then...but I didn't.

Moving ahead to yesterday

While using the phone in the doctors office, I started seeing login errors. Found all accounts were gone except facebook(?)

Recreated accounts and phone functioned fine but noticed more app crashes than usual, then realized I've been experiencing app crashes for a little while and kind of ignored them, mostly "Flipboard has stopped" stuff.

Decided to try clearing cache and dalvik (latest Philz recovery) and got a "too many files open" error.

When I got home, I decided it was time to do a factory reset and clean the whole thing up. Tried doing a nandroid, but the phone just restarts. TiBU showed only one element installed (facebook?) and would not bu.

Again using Philz, attempted full reset which hung for ~3-4 min then rebooted the phone. Repeated with same results. When phone rebooted to system, it acted like a new install but accounts, wifi data and many apps were still there.

Tried to flash TWRP to attempt reset with it, but the phone hung on the TWRP splash screen.

After much reading, I flashed a clean stock rooted rom d/l through the universal toolkit with Odin (also installed by the toolkit)

Finally, I was back in control. The stock rom re partitioned the internal memory and removed whatever corruption was there. I was able to flash back to STS 1.2 (my current choice) and restore the phone manually. Would have been nice to have those bu though!

Maybe someone who has similar symptoms will find this and have an easier time of it than I did.

When I had my Note II, I had something similar, but I did not have the Data error, I simply loss all the data and info on my SD card, I knew from reading in many threads it seemed to be an issue with some of the Note II, Well to make a long story short, I too was able to recover some of my Nandroids, don't know if they were good or not, as I never ended up have to use them or need them after I sold my device. I had a 32 GB SD card from TOPRAM, and heard the issues was with Sandisk, but I guess it was also TR also. I wiped the SD after recovering all I could, then reformatted it, and decided to put it in my Old 3VO and use the 8 GB from my 3vo and did not have any issues for a while. Months later I decided to put the 32GB back in the Note II, and all worked fine for about 4 months or so, and then it happened again, wipe everything from my SD card, and this time I was not able to view anything on the SD card, so it was definitely something with the Note II that kept causing this issue. I ended up sending the SD card back to Topram for replacement, which they did replace, but the end results for me I feel it was an issue with the Note II. Not all have had this issue but many have had. As you all know I don't have the Note II any longer and not bc I didn't like it, I loved the Note II, I simply moved on to a new carrier and needed a GSM phone. I still miss my NII but I am also happy with my Moto X, and definitely happy as a cow in heat with the service in the past 2 months.

Pasta I hope you make sure you duplicate your info from you SD card for safe keeping and keep it backed up regularly as this can still happen again. When I have some extra time I will find you the threads out there with others that have had the same issue, for your viewing.
