Root [Boost Mobile] i just check the samsung web page and look what i found

After taking a closer look at the article, the Boost update is ND8 too.

That's weird. Usually Boost has their own modem ex. Sprint MK3, Boost MK6.

Quoted from the article

" The Build number and Baseband version show the current software version on your mobile device. The software version will be L710VPUDND8 after the update. "

I guess the only TRUE way to see what's going on is just wait and see what's up with the Boost update when it's pushed. :)

I just woke up to my phone telling me a system update is available

I'm posting this so someone can grab the tar ball from Kies once it comes. This will allow devs to get some zips out there, odex and deodexed.

1. Click on Start->Run, enter %temp% and press ENTER. First thing before you go into Kies, clear this folder out.
2. Keep that explorer window open and handy. I also suggest open another to where you want to copy it to(create new folder on desktop and keep it open).
3. Open Kies, let it download. As soon as it starts flashing, look for a folder with the tarball or search for .tar.md5 in the %temp% folder you have open. Copy/paste it to your new folder. Done. Congrats, you

Samsung changed the information on their web site. The Boost Software version is L710VPUCNDC

Update: this new rev number (L710VPUCNDC) is now also listed for Sprint, Boost and Virgin Mobile???

Someone will have to take the leap, but being that Samsung has always built identical builds for the three carriers except the carrier information on boot up, apps, etc, I would say yes, you can.

I hope I can, well another thing that supports this idea is that I've flashed other Sprint only roms and then odin restored to boost mobile. Hope you get the Boost Mobile tar up and ready for all of us. Thanks again

Long time fan of this board. I do a lot of reading from you all. I have learned a lot and I also scratch my head equally.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 SPH-L710, Had it for a few months, rooted, running Droid 4.3, Boost Mobile. I plugged it up to the old laptop and started Kies 3. It stated that there was a Firmware upgrade.
Current firmware version: PDA:MK5/PHONE:MK5/CSC:MK5 (BST)
Latest firmware version: PDA:NDC/PHONE:NDC/CSC:NDC
I hit the "Update" button, go thru the changes, it starts downloading (the program name is :AdminDelegator). I try to install it and I get an "Unknown Error" error.
Do anyone know what the upgrade is and
Is it possible that I can't get the upgrade because of Knox being flagged?

Thanks a trillian !!!!!

Because you're rooted, and probably have Cwm? You need to be completely stock, or just flash the tar through Odin. I have it up and ready.

jdsingle76, thanks for the reply. Semper Fi !!! I'm a Navy Vet.
I am rooted but I don't think that I have CWM (MUST.LEAVE.RUM.ALONE.WHEN.I.DO.STUFF.LIKE.THAT...).
How can I tell? When I rooted this phone, I found something on this forum, threw caution to the wind and went for it (MUST.LEAVE.RUM.ALONE.WHEN.I.DO.STUFF.LIKE.THAT...).

Again, Thanks a trillian.
