I recently got an LG G2 smartphone with Verizon, but neither my dad nor I had yet to put insurance on it and I dropped the phone and the screen cracked. It's not a terrible crack and I wouldn't mind using it with the broken screen. The only problem is that the touchscreen is unresponsive. Getting the screen repaired is almost $200 and I don't mind paying for it, but since I don't have a job, I would like to see what all my options are and see if there is a cheaper way to do it before I spent $200 unnecessarily. I am able to turn the phone on with no problem but the touchscreen is unresponsive except for this one section on the left side. So the question is: if the phone and display is still working like it was before, what broke when I dropped the phone and what do I need to replace?
