Root Vzw m8 wireless tether

You and I both come from the gnex. I use tethering with no issues. It is included in your plan. Big difference is no unlimited data. Hasn't been an issue for me and actually spending 30/month less than with nexus. I suggest doing the math. The device is a game changer coming from nexus. I get 4 hour screen on time! Compared to one on nexus its amazing. I no longer am tied to my charging tools.

I did a little search over at XDA and saw talk of a "provisioning check" for tethering being disabled for at least one of the roms. Is this the hack needed?

I'll ask around and see if I can dig up any dirt. :)

I have never had any issues with unlimited on sprint, nor any tethering problems since the OG evo days 2010. Verizon is a different beast tho, which I have no experience with.

Jose has the Gnex still, and he's ready to upgrade. Every time he plays with my M8, it's really hard to pry it from his death grip. It's really a good phone Boss. ;)

G..

I think that's the hack. Thank u kindly. That would put the m8 way up in the list. How's battery life for you?

I get 2 days with average use, stock kernel. Very happy with the battery on this phone. It sleeps well, and wakes up almost instantly. I have an Airave, and it connects instantly, unlike my old LTEvo that took anywhere from 10 to 50 minutes to link up.

I have to say, Verizon requires a Perm root hack to get S-off to fully root. Also some hardware versions aren't compatible with the current S-off tool Firewater. Mine worked instantly, but some have reported issues.

Ultimately, Scotty got one so we're covered for any issues that arise! :p
