Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

WHOO HOO!

Sold our loaded Ford Explorer to a family of four using Craigslist. They came, they saw, they drove, they paid CASH. REAL cash. That means that the Darling Bride's brand new Chrysler 300C will be paid off in about a year!

:D

BTW Halon: If you say so. I read consumer reviews by technical experts who bought the Samsung curved screen TV and thought it was "gimmicky" but were then amazed at the effect it had on picture quality... especially in 3D. Hence my decision to snag a 65" curved screen 4K 3DTV on Black Friday if the price drops to anywhere around $2500-$3000. Besides: even with the lack of native 4K content, this set upscales just about any input with astonishing results.

I agree, the upscaling is great as it is on my Sony. I'm one of those that think the curve TV is gimmicky. As for AVS forum, some of those people know their stuff. It is usually my go to site for electronics. Personally, I go by what the people who use it everyday at home rather than "the experts" who use it for a week or two or, who knows, maybe even a month then they move onto the next TV that is thrown at them. But, that's just my opinion, hope the price drops for you! My model took about a year to get to the price I got it at.

Finally 4.4.3 has been released! As usual I probably won't receive it until next week. Still don't have a laptop to do it manually. I always thought you should just be able to download a zip file and hit install, for Nexus devices.

I hope that my moto g gets it. You know maybe it won't be so bad if Nexus devices go. Google play edition phones and other phones promised with the latest update is great.

Man, cruises, $6,000 televisions, what's next?

Look everyone, this is my gold Bentley. I snagged a great deal on it. It's a bit low on the gas mileage side, but thankfully I paid less than MSRP so it will even out in a few years.

<---- One stoked Chief! :D

Got word that my first ship, USS John Young, is having a 1985-1989 crew reunion on the 28th of this month... just an hour away in NASHVILLE!

I already have my room reserved; Margaritaville on Broadway has dedicated an entire room (with bar) for US. Probably because they advertise themselves as a "family friendly" establishment and things could get a little ugly when dozens of old Sailors gather to reminisce. All bets are off as to what might happen... but the ol' Chief is pretty much unshockable so I'll be ready for ANYTHING.

Have fun in here and behave on the 28th and 29th... I won't be here!

Steven, I imagine you'll need to be rooted. Also, don't know if applies to the M8, but with my G2, I had to install a patch so tether goes undetected. (and yep, still on grandfathered unlimited)
Same here as well - I tether to my laptop on the train home if I need to look up a piece of code on StackOverflow or Google / Apple developer docs.

Super stoked for the Girl Talk concert tonight in Baltimore. Someone I'm sure no one has heard of but his style of music is known as "laptronic". Essentially, all he does is take samples or bits and pieces of them, and splice em together. It's pretty much just "house" music, but it's gonna be a great dance party. He's an engineer from Carnegie Mellon who just decided this is more his style. :)
