I love these custom roms! They increase my devices efficiency beyond description! I'm curious if there is a way to install/keep stock apps though?

For example, i LOVE the stock messaging application, and the original dialer. Is there a way i can run Cyanogenmod and keep these original apps?

ROM.zips can be modified with winrar or 7zip. Don't actually unzip them, but open them with one of those programs. You will find the file structure which is to be flashed to your phone. Most of the apps are kept in system/app. You can delete apps you don't want and/or add apps you do. Check out struckn's all in one guide in the stickies for more details (2nd post).

You can try to copy the .apk files for those apps from the stock rom.zip and replace the corresponding apps in the CM.zip before flashing it. I doubt the dialer will work, but the mms.apk may. Make a nandroid before you flash your modified CM.zip.
