Hey so I've been wanting to root my phone for a while just because the freedom has always looked so much better. Recently though my phone has been so sluggish and it seems to be getting worse week by week. Its not just when certain apps open its everything. I have heard rooting can speed things up and that the cyanogenmod can speed things up further. My question is, being a new person to rooting, what do I need to do to get my stock verizon sg3 4.3 to cyanogenmod. Some places I've read say you don't need to root, some say you do and that you need to unlock the bootloader. I've done a lot of reading but I was hoping someone here could really give me something clear. I really want to root so I can get rid of bloat ware, speed things up, and extend battery life. I eagerly await any helpful people
