A while back I got the Otterbox Defender for my S5. It looks great and really protects the phone only that it doesn't really Close on one of the sides. Otterebox is willing to send me a New one if I take a lot of Pictures and fill in a form etc but I worry that the New case will be the same so I should just get something else. Has anyone here the same problem With the defender?

Did not buy one of those "this time", my previous experience with the Otterbox on my other phone ended up with me leaving it off..

I am using the Speck CandyShell Grip case. It is terrific, non-slip grips on the edges, thin enough that a Qi wireless charger still works with it.

military spec tough.

Forgot to mention, the Speck CandyShell case is strong enough that I have a neckstrap secured to the edge of it at the 3.5mm speaker jack.

That strap has been in use now for six weeks and has prevented my phone from getting lost in the weeds and grass countless times.

I work outdoors around heavy equipment.
I keep the phone in my shirt pocket because it is not subject to being crushed against some immovable steel frame edge.

My phones have been in my shirt pockets for years, and always with neckstraps.

Makes getting hold of it when you are called much easier than trying to find it in a hip pocket while the seat belt is strapped on you.

Neckstraps are hard to find. Good ones are harder yet to find.
I got this one, cheap and strong enough.

Like 3 pics with your name and date. Only way to tell is to try. They'll make it right.

I couldn't tell if it breaks for you if you get it caught in something?

Be tough to get hung on something and not be able to get loose.
