So thanks to ss1992 I just remembered this: http://www.metropcs.com/assets/assets/pdfs/MetroGUARD-Notification.pdf

Starting July 13th, 2014

● Name change from MetroGUARD to Premium Handset Protection (PHP)

●The cost will go up from $5 a month to $6

●Deductibles will increase for all tiers

Tier C: $69 -> $100
Tier D: $39 -> $50

● Paying the $5 MetroGUARD premium on the last bill prior to July 13th is you agreeing to $6 PHP

● The features from the $1 MetroBACKUP will be included in the $6 for PHP

New deductibles with phones

I think its funny that the L70 has a 50 dollar deductible on a 49 dollar phone..lol. Cheaper just to buy a new phone than to pay the deductible. The insure is crap as your phones are warrantied for a full year from date of purchase. Just take it back to the corp store and trade it for a new one.

I have bricked 3 L70's thus far trying to root them..Working with a Dev. I take them back to corp and pick up a new one no questions asked, however after 3 in 2 weeks i am betting they are suspicious by now...lol.

My hopes are they get rid of the L70's. People hate that the bootloader is locked. And get more realistic prices on the MEGA, and S4. Its sad that both are 100 cheaper to buy outright from T-Mobile and do a BYOD to metro.
