Root [Virgin Mobile/Sprint] [Rom][Stock/CM]Psycho Billy Cyanogen Flavored Rom 4.1.2

Im not exactly sure why most of you are having the V6 update notification issue. I've had a solution to that for over 2 months now (thanks Sharkhunter)... Basically after you receive the notification say install later. After that download root browser or similar app. In root browser go to /cache (needs root permission), and then delete the V6 update zip.. After deleting the zip go back to settings and updates.. Accept and install the V6 update. Since there is no zip, it will just stall when it says rebooting.. Wait a couple of seconds and then just exit out of that, and then the notification will no longer pop up. Sorry guys I thought you all knew, and trust me it works.

How far does does your CM port boot?
I've been tinkering with MIUI rom and I can get to the logo and was able to pull logcat so far thats it.

If it's a strait compile, I see the lg splash screen and then it reboots. If I use our boot img (Our stock kernel, and ramdisk) I can get it to boot past the lg splash screen, and the lg splash screen animation. Then the screen goes blank. No adb for logcat.

If I also include our framework files, I can get to adb for a logcat. That's about it.

Now I know that if I use the cm ramdisk with our kernel and use it with barebones stock lib and framework files, it will boot. Unfortunately it will still be stock. My goal is to use the cm framework files. So far I haven't found a way to get around it.

Edit: I've started over a day or two ago, and I'm making some more progress. Without loki'ng the boot img, i'm able to get to the lg splash screen animation. It pauses and then resets. I haven't configured it to our file structure, or embedded our prebuilts and blobs into it yet. It's a little hard to work it in with my class & work. I'm hoping that will help.

Woohoo!

I'm getting closer. I've gotten it to the cyanogenmod boot animation with the cyanogenmod framework files and cyanogenmod boot.img.

I'm using cm 10.1 instead of cm 10
Android 4.2.2 instead of the current 4.1.2

That's as far as I got with miui ... But you are way more knowledgeable and dedicated about this then I am. Thanks for updating us as you work it helps people like me learn.

Not sure why this is, but deleting that .zip file breaks Hangouts. After I deleted that file, my Hangouts wouldn't work and gave the irritating "Couldn't connect to Google" error. I tried all the work-arounds--e.g., uninstalling Google Play Services updates, reinstalling Hangouts, clearing caches/data, etc--and nothing worked; however, when the .zip is put back Hangouts logs in and works as expected.

 Huh?

Good rom, especially for those of us who constantly are low on available memory (soo much bloatware with stock). Only real issue I've seen so far is the limitations on the lock screen, and the update/themes provider errors.

I do have a question though, before I flashed this, I made a titanium backup of my data. Is there any way to restore my text message history using my backup, or no? Thanks again for your help and your excellent rom.

You can try it. I'm not sure if it would work or not. If it causes errors, just go back to the recovery and perform a wipe data / factory reset.
