Hi Guys,

Hoping someone can help me out. I have recently bought a new samsung galaxy s5 (old phone was an iPhone 4s). I synced my galaxy using Smart Switch Mobile (to sync old contacts, photos, messages etc) through my apple account. I have had it for about 8-10 weeks and no issues with it up until 2 weeks ago. I can no longer send sms texts to one number in my contact list. She has a motorola razr and received all my texts when i first upgraded phones but recently can't receive any. She is ABLE to receive my MMS messages and also receives texts from everyone else.

Since finding out that she is no longer receiving my texts I have disabled third party apps (chat on and hangouts) - this hasn't helped. I have also done 3 complete factory resets. After doing this i synced my galaxy using Smart Switch again. Directly after doing this she was able to receive my texts for about 12-15hours and then nothing. No one else on my contact list has any issues receiving my sms.

I still have my old iPhone and have disabled FaceTime and iMessage and this phone is always turned off.

This is really annoying and I would like to get to the bottom of it. Does anyone have any ideas or could offer any support?

Thanks so much!

Just as an experiment, install Go SMS Pro and send her a text with that app.

I have turned OFF both of the phone's message apps and made Go SMS Pro the default.

I don't have any issues at all sending/receiving text message with or w/o pictures to my son's iPhone

Best part of Go SMS Pro is it will work with WiFi only and DATA turned off.

Thanks for the replies. I managed to work it out reading some apple forums. Apparently apple iphone had stored my number and the texts were getting intercepted and sent through imessage despite not having an iphone anymore.
Sounds odd but as soon as I changed my icloud passwords and deregistered my number from apple all the texts went through.
Thanks again.

Hey guys.

Further to my first thread post earlier, the same issue has happened again.
My apple I.D password and account has all been changed and this has not been linked back with my current samsung phone. I checked my apple account and it does not have my current phone number listed. SO i don't think it is an apple iMessage issue this time.
But the same issue has happened. I cannot text just one number. No error messages on my side (all texts say they are sent successfully) but no texts arrive at the phone on the other end. Both number (mine and the recipient) can send and receive texts to all other number in our address books. We are both with the optus network (Aus phone network). I called optus during the week and they said that there is no network problem that they can see on their end. They recommend we both delete our text thread and our specific contacts from our respective phones (like we hadn't already tried that!) and the only other idea they had was to replace our sim cards. I can't see it being a sim issue since we can both send and receive texts to other people. I can only see it being a network issue and i have done some reading of forums and a lot of other people have reported a similar issue on the optus network being from a corrupt get file.
Does anyone here have any other ideas?? This is really annoying me!

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

I had the same issue (could send txts to everyone with no error messages, only one person couldn't receive them, both of us on the Optus network in Australia. The person who couldn't receive them has a iphone 4, I have a Google Nexus 5). I fixed it by un-merging hangouts and SMS for that person. In Hangouts click on a message from the person who can't receive your messages. In the top left, click on the 3 dots in a vertical line and select "Un-merge SMS". I found this out by randomly trying it. Hope it helps you out.

Had the same problem using Go SMS with two SIM cards. Both failed to send to certain numbers; so it's not an issue with providers. Solved this way: Go SMS settings, More tools, SMS blocker, Settings, disable all black list and white lists. The app runs normally again. The developers should take note of this.

I am having this issue with my S5. My mom can text me and every one else. I can text her back but she cannot see the message. I am using the message app on my phone. This has been happening for a year and I have contacted Sprint twice on this with no luck. I have factory reset my phone. I have removed her as a contact and only tried texting with her phone number. I am having no issues with anyone else.

Have you tried putting in the area code? I noticed that when texting someone, it would remove the area code and fail to send. :)
