I have mine on order from Sony mobile with delivery 14th April and free charging dock. I have also ordered from Amazon with delivery tomorrow (prime). I tried to order from Sony uk full site last night with the dock for 1p and a case. On the web site said in stock but order would not go through. Rang up and told they would ring today as there is a stock movement going on.

I want it from Sony as you get the free dock but also 30 day money back guarantee .

How have you got on or have you got it?

Are you in the UK? I am in the US and as far as I know it is not yet available for sale in the US. I can find some links to buy it but the prices are EU prices and I assume higher than what it will sell for in the US because this thing will be DOA at those prices in the US.

If anyone knows when it will go on sale in the US, or the best place to monitor for US sale announcements, I would love to hear about it.

Hi,

Yes I am in the UK. Just tried to order again from Sony full site as they rang me up. They were about to take my order but could not confirm delivery mid April. They have the 16gb LTE in stock but I want the 32gb wifi.

I will see what happens with amazon and at least I have Sony mobile also.

Can you get the Z2 phone in the states?

Nope - don't believe so. I suspect that will be a while as they appear to be releasing outside the US first on both devices, and the Z2 phone is delayed for another couple weeks in the UK I hear.

You know - I don't mind to some degree the delays. But I fail to see why a company would not share the approximate release dates on their products. No news means I can't make a decision to wait. If I know the date I could choose to wait longer for their device. If I do not know I may have to settle. Because even an inferior device is much much better than playing on vapors...

I initially ordered from Sony online with charging dock for 1p. The order confirmation stated that I would receive it within 3 days. Lo and behold I checked the order status and it told me the item was now out of stock and that new stock would not be coming through until 28th April! (I ordered on 1st April) .

I don't have that much patience, and for the sake of the dock (which i probably would hardly use), I went to John Lewis and got mine for the same price.

And I am chuffed to bits with it! You will definitely love it too.

Just received my white 32GB Wifi only xperia z2 today! LOVING it so far. I'm amazed at how thin, light and FAST it is.

The Xperia Z2 Table is by FAR the best electronic device that I have ever purcashed/owned. It is light, minimalistic, FAST and sexy. Very easy to use. I cannot say enough good things about my first Android Tablet. I also have the Samsung Galaxy S4. I had been Iphone/iPad for the past three years. The battery life of the Z2 is not as good as my ipad 3; I get ~ 6-7 hours of heavy usage out of the Xperia Z2. It takes~ 1-2 hours to fully charge the Z2 when it's down to about 20%.

That would depend on the individual, but as I stated, it is the best device that I have ever owned. I have the wifi 32GB version.

Very happy with mine too.
Battery could be better, but that is the only downside, do far.

Just sold me Nexus 10, and had two Asus transformers before that.

How would you compare the z2 to the nexus10. I was considering getting a nexus 10 but then started looking at the z2. How would you compare the battery life between them.

Got mine this past week. Very pleased with it. Light, snappy, great battery life. I find I'm charging every two/two and a half days or so.

Bunged an alternative launcher and icon pack on, but that was just personal preference. The Sony skin is fine really.

The Z2 is MUCH snappier. The ONLY thing the Nexus has is battery life, I think it was slightly better on it, but it hasn't been a concern on the Z2.
Overall I'm happy I made the change.
(And I had constant reboot problems on the Nexus, on the Z2 it's happened once in over a month.)

Has anyone else here had any touch screen issues?

Mine when waking from timing out, often the screen is either frozen or the touch sensitivity goes really low and i have to tap hard to get it to register some taps.

The only fix up to now has been to just simple press the power off buttom to turn the screen off then press it again and swipe back in and then it seems fine after that.

anyone else?
