Root [ROM] Warp 4G SuperROM v2.7 {updated 7/6/14}

I'm trying to figure out why my screen won't time out sometimes. If I restart my phone it will work right for a while. But after its on for a while and/or messing with it, the screen stays on forever. Trying to figure out what is making it stay on. Anyone else getting this? And what ways are there to figure out what is causing it?

Some/certain apps have a keep awake setting preinstalled...

I did notice that files com.qualcomm.permission.locapi, com.qualcomm.privnit, and com.qualcomm.timeservice are still set in as system files. Is that intentional or an oversight? Curious as to if they are safe to remove, or essential for proper system performance.

Whenever I'm curious about something like that. Sometimes, I'll make a backup and delete the files or apk and see what happens. But I think those files r needed for something.

I installed 2.3 with ease. Very nice. After restoring all my apps and settings I found that I'm using @3% less memory. Removal of connections optimizer and Qualcomm Enhanced Location? I had no issues with app installations or external sd card file transfers. Smooth interface as well. These are not part of connections optimizer or enhanced location service. It was intentional to leave them in the rom.

Hey superR, any idea where those stock boost contacts(care service, call Reboost, call balance) might be stored? I would like to see those taken out in an upcoming update B-) not a big deal though. I could probably do it on the Linux machine now that I have one running but Not sure :)

They are in /carrier/Customization/Customization.xml. Be careful if you decide to edit this file. It is not part of any rom or cwm backup so be sure to copy the original file somewhere first.

Do I need to factory wipe if coming from 2.3?

Its always a good idea to wipe both files and cache. Leftover files can interfere with new processes.

I agree, it is always a good idea, but in this case it should be fine to dirty flash from v2.3 to v2.4. Make a backup first just in case :)

Here is a flashable that will remove the Boost contacts.

1. Make sure all your contacts are in your gmail account rather than only stored on your device
2. Flash the zip
3. Clear data from the contacts storage app (System settings > Apps > All > Contacts Storage)
4. Let us know how it goes :)

edit: I should mention that I have tested this and it worked on my device.

Does this also remove Ice contacts?

No, just the 3...care services, call reboost, and another one, can't remember exactly. I can probably remove the ICE contacts, what are they exactly?

Hey the boost contact removal worked perfectly. :thumb:
I just flashed the 2.4 rom (awesome btw) and before I rebooted the phone I just flashed the boost contact removal zip also and viola! no more pesky boost contacts.
Hey SuperR, I'm sure there would be alot of other people to find this very useful. As far as what I've seen on the internet, there isn't anything like this to easily remove those contacts.
The only place I see anything about emergency contact is on the lockscreen and the default is 911 but seems you can add contacts. not sure

Is anyone getting there txt 5 to 10 min late and not receiving calls after boost did that with the service

Not sure exactly what your talking about, but I've tested a couple things and I seem to be getting my messages in a reasonable time (about 2 mins or less) and am getting calls ok.

I'm on regular stock/deodexed.. Any reason it's not working for me?

Anyone else getting a visual voicemail force close??. I noticed on the last (2.3) rom and this (2.4) rom, the visual voicemail fc'es no matter what I do. I've cleared data, force stop, reset. nothing gets it going.. Could those files that were taken out recently have been needed for the voicemail app??

The recent files have nothing to do with it. I made some modifications to the VVM app in v2.2 and someone said it was working. I don't have active service on my Warp 4g at the moment so I can't verify. You can grab the stock vvm apk from the deodexed stock rom or any SuperROM 2.1 or earlier. If everyone is having this issue I will just put the stock one back in for v2.5.

Yes it was working fine. Hence the confusion as to why it suddenly isn't working now.. Either way it is a super rom. thankyou SuperR! :proud:

Well it looks like the boost contacts return after reboot. I am not sure where they are coming from because they are not being added back to the file we removed them from. If you reboot and they come back, you can clear contact storage data again and they go away again until reboot. Anyone else experience this?
