 OMG we've got to move out of this apartment and into a new place tomorrow at 10am and I missed my dentist appt today (to deal with a tooth ache) so that I could call around to find movers...so now the tooth is distracting me from feeling so happy about getting MY ANDROID 2 days ago!! I LOVE IT SO!! So I came here to find out about an iTunes/music app so I can start listening to music on my new G1 phone + all my music now is in iTunes on my PC. the only problem i have so far is that it uses up energy so damn fast and i have to recharge like twice a day so i need to look into that too. I know i can conserve by turning off the wifi etc, but i'd like to find some more ways to charge it... thank you for the welcome Rob. manci...

Welcome to the forums.

Here is what I do for my music. I use the default player on my G1. Mount the sd card while plugged into your PC, drag files from itunes to the music folder on the phone. It works for me.

You can charge your phone with just about any USB power source. In the car I use a USB adaptor for the cig lighter. At work I just plug it into my USB cable on the PC. At home its either plugged into my home PC or the walloutlet charger.

Hey! I'm new here too.

I also have a G1, and the stock 1150mAh battery really doesn't cut it. I didn't even think that it would ever be practical to listen to music or podcasts or anything like that until I got an after-market replacement battery.

I found a 1600mAh on ebay back in late August for just under $10, and it really makes a difference. It packs about %40 more juice but isn't any larger than the stock battery HTC includes, so there's no need to use a fat back-plate like with some high capacity replacement batteries.
