Google I/O 2014 Discussion / Coverage

Remember back at Apple’s WWDC a few weeks ago when they took pot shots at Android? The company claimed their platform adoption rate is far superior to Android’s, with even the oldest of their smartphones able to get hooked up with the latest updates. We figured Google was going to respond to those claims and […]

Cool :)

As they say, it's the best phone for someone who wants a smart phone, and I agree 100% Honestly I wanted the iPhone because I used to care about vanity and feeling cool, but seeing how it JUST started doing the things androids been doing for several years, I realize the primary purpose of an iPhone, is to show people you have an iPhone.

Sorry haven't read the thread, watching room 8 now.
Woo ART, no dalvik!

What I was gonna say is I'm seeing a lot of stuff that's been in custom roms for a while lol.
I'll enjoy this thread later
Cheers rxpert
(and phanny of course)

I'm just excited to get my hands on the "L" release preview tomorrow. The new visual overhaul and functionality is something I'm going to want to get my hands on before making a call.

First impressions from the keynote were that I really don't like the new navigation buttons <| O |=|

They seem much less intuitive. If you're already used to android though its likely just something to get used to.

I use expanded desktop and pie anyway so nav bar doesn't affect me personally.
It's just crazy the amount of ideas they've taken from roms and Xposed modules lol. I suppose that's what androids all about.
Aparently Alex Cruz (dirty unicorn etc) is having some of his famous and hilarious rants on G+ so I'm looking forward to that. He's usually right on point too.
Everyone follow him. TUX profile pic
