Has anyone noticed an increase in boot time from 2.x to 3.x?

I haven't noticed but I don't pay a lot of attention to boot times so there may be. I guess it all depends on what's installed. For the next release, I'm going to go through and optimize as many APKs as I can without screwing up the system, remove excess internal junk.

Also, AOSP LOCK SCREEN with camera widget/page. In case anybody's wondering, this REPLACES the default Samsung lock screens and will remove their associated preference options from the settings app.

Flashed 3.3 but about device still says I'm on 3.2.

Also I'm not getting the new lock screen but since that's not in the release notes I guess it'll be in a future release.

Edit. VivisClone, I am not noticing longer boot times. Are you seeing it on all boots or just the initial boot?

Moon, just re-read your last post about the new lock screens will be in a future release.

So all is good except the about device showing that I'm on 3.2. No big deal :)

I'm about to install this and try it out, it looks cool. I would like to see the battery and percentage icon as 1 though, but im excited about trying it out anyway, thanks!

Edit: I would have liked to keep the stock messaging app. I don't really care much for hangouts, always seemed sluggish to me, good rom though.

Big Ditto on keeping stock messaging app and not liking hangouts!!!

I don't boot very often.... Not sure that I would notice 4 seconds :)

Edit. Just did side by side with my wife's phone she's on the boost version of sprint ND8. A power restart took about 45 seconds. The Conquest ROM was about 1 or 2 seconds quicker

Any way to get the old email app back that was on my boost 4.4.2 phone. I really dislike the new version reading email. I like how I can got my old messaging app back and not have to deal with hangouts or another messaging app. I saw the email app I am using now at google play site that I installed with the ROM and it says not compatible with my so I dont know if that why app seems so dumbed down from old app or it just the way is supposed to work now. Sometime these new app versions are worse than old ones like phone app. I like the version was on my 4.4.2 kitkat better too. I guess change is not always better but we seem compelled to have the latest and greatest? versions. I think thats mainly by sale people want people to buy the new versions. ;)

This is the version of email I got when installed ROM. Its not what what on my old system. It says not compatible with my phone Galaxy S3 that might be just because not released yet but it works different that my 4.4.2 email app and for the worse I think.

I still don't know what you're asking for. If you want that email client, it's included in the installer. If you're looking for the touch wiz email client, that's in there, too, under "custom." If I have not resolved your question, please rephrase it in proper English. Thank you.

I just spent better half of night finding out what is going on with email and heres what happened when I installed ROM second time and was going through the setup of email I used the linked earlier version of the email client
which was one I assume you added to your ROM.

When I setting up the ROM I started installing all my email accounts. 1 each of hotmail, gmail, and verizon.net, I then was using mainly my verizon acct and looking at a lot of emails that where bugged could not click links in them on a lot of sites.
I found out today it was just my verizon acct that was bugged. Then I look at apps and saw the old email client that I was using on my phone.
I tried to re-setup the old email app and and had problem with duped accounts so I got mad and uninstall the new email app so I could work
with the old app. To my delight I now have the old email working with
gmail and verizon.

Everything on those 2 accounts are working fine but now I cant get hotmail to reinstall. I tried using working email app and tired to install through Microsoft Exchange and it not connecting.

I know when was connected earlier it was listed a a corporate entry so guessing guessing pulling out the newer email account had something was making it connected.

Confused yet?:D
So now I cant even install this link to update email because not compatible device is showing and wont let me install.
What can I do to get the linked email app installed or my hotmail installed?

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.email

I was able to fix this hotmail address using same email program that was working.
I added the email address using the IMAP Email option and it filled the blanks after
entering email address and pw.......... WoW it took awhile but looking good atm...

RELEASE NOTES

The main issue that is fixed by this release is the ability to use apps other than the TouchWiz Gallery to select a contact photo from within the People app. The app was hardcoded by Samsung to use only the TouchWiz Gallery app to choose photos. This limitation has been removed and you will now be presented with a list of apps to choose a photo. The Google+ Photos app does not work for contact photo selection from within the People app. I believe it has to do with the way the Photos app returns the file URI. I also tested this function using ES File Explorer to choose the photo and this worked without issue. If you really need/want to set a contact photo using the Photos app, you can still accomplish this by going into the Photos app, opening your desired photo, choosing "Set as..." and then "Contact photo." I have tested this function and it works just fine.

As to the battery percentage, it can be turned on and off via the same setting that would switch the battery percentage text on and off in the Settings app. Due to the way this feature is coded, you will have to reboot your phone for changes to take effect. If you have previously used an app or other method to enable the native KitKat battery percentage, you will want to disable it before applying this update as the setting that previously controlled it now controls the TouchWiz battery percentage text readout.

I've been loving the ROM so far but after I installed 4.1 I started getting some force closes and Opera just freezing. I've been using a flashable theme that has had no issues on earlier releases. I don't know if that's the issue, but nothing else comes to mind. I haven't changed any cpu settings or anything else that would seem obvious as a potential problem. I just dirty flashed 4.0 and it seems to be back to running perfect.

Probably the theme. 4.1 changes some system framework as well as modifying a couple of system variables.
