On my previous LG I was able to set different sounds for email, texts, FB messages, etc. Can't figure how on the F90, When I receive a text it will sometimes play the "piano" notification (which I did set) and sometimes speak that I have a message. Did not set it to speak and don't understand why it does it different at different times? Know this isn't this hard!

I just got this phone and I don't see any settings to set sound profiles like that for apps but I haven't read through all the manual yet either. Maybe this phone is not capable of that. When I get a text mine only gives the sound I set to notify and never talks. I would toggle the voice notifications button on then off again and see if that fixes it. If not it sounds like something is wrong with the phone. Mary

In sound settings there is an option for voice notifications, that is what is making it announce notifications.

I don't think there is one place with all the different notifications, but you can set individualized notification sounds within most apps. Just go into the settings in messaging, email, etc.

No there is not one central location for all notification sounds. My L9 didn't have that either. In the eamail app click on the bottom right of the phone to bring up settings, then where it says accounts click the email account under that and notification sound is in there. For texting do the same and it's under settings, and you have to put a check mark in notifications to access the notification sounds. You will have to fish around in face book and such to find each setting for that app. Mary
