Help Cannot exit browser incognito mode

Hi all, apologies if this has been raised before but couldn't find anything on the forum.

At some point I must have entered the incognito mode on the stock browser and just can't get out of it. Internet says other people are having the same issue as well but no one seems to have a solution that works.

I generally use Chrome for browsing but all in-app links open in the stock browser which makes this particularly annoying.

Any suggestions?

Hi, and a warm welcome to the forums!

Not sure about the exiting incognito mode but

To change which browser opens from within apps:

from home screen

menu button
settings
application manager
scroll at the top to the "All" tab
find and select "internet"
scroll down and clear defaults

the next time an app wants a browser it will give you the choice of all the installed browsers. Choose chrome "always" and the default will be set to chrome. You can always change it again with the method above.

Thanks girolez, will do that. But incredible that it's so hard to exit incognito mode on the stock browser

I just close down that incognito window and open a fresh one. Seems to work fine

Try exiting the browser, go to application manager and clear it's cache and data (you will lose any bookmarks clearing data).
