I remember there being a way on my phone to disable google now from starting when i long pressed the home button and a lot of people thought this also speeded the home button up.

I can't seem to find a way of disabling both google now and whats new on the tablet though.

can anyone help as id like to make my home button just a home button and nothing else.

thanks

james

Go into Google Now, scroll down to the bottom and hit the 3 dots in the top left you will see an On/Off slider. Slide it off.

What software version have you got? My Tab Z doesn't have the What's New app or Home shortcut, although my Xperia Z2 does and I don't think it can be switched off.

This is a pain because I would prefer just to have Google Now.
