Root help on how to root HTC Thunderbolt the new way

Hi every1 names Dan, glad i fopund this forum,i have old HTC Thunderbolt firmware 2.3.5 baseband 2.15.00.01.15
My question is what is the best new way 2 easily root HTC and if i need 2 return cell 4 warrenty can i unroot aswell? Im trying 2 root cell so I can use cell as a hotspot so i can connect 2 internet 4 FREE wit my tablet+ipad when im working etc. I seen alot of old youtube vids but IDK if theres anew 2014 update. Thank you 4 any help

PS what custom roms do i need or should get 2 make cell even more better?

As we have determined by your PC36100 model number,you have an EVO 4g,not a thunderbolt. :)

I personally would unlock the bootloader,then follow the captain throwback directions to downgrade and run unrevoked,wich will leave you with a true radio s off.
