Root [Verizon] How to remove certificate screen lock requirement

I have searched the forum and Googled for an answer, but have only been able to find out dated similar questions.

I have a Verizon Galaxy S5, rooted with towelroot and running Android 4.4.2. I use PDANet+ with a FoxFi key to create a WiFi hotspot.

The biggest nag that I have, is that the security certificate required for FoxFi requires me to have either a PIN or Password screen lock, no pattern lock like before. I hate screen locks (personal choice, and I understand the risks, please no lectures on that).

Does anyone know how I can remove a certificate's requirement for a screen lock, since I have the phone rooted?

Thanks in advance,

1. Goto google.com/android/devicemanager and locate your phone.
2. Click "Lock" and chose a new number password.
3. Type the new password on your phone and it will unlock.
4. Now it should let your change the lockscreen to anything, and foxfi will continue to work

Still working after restarting phone and using Foxfi
