When you unlock your bootloader the phone gets wiped, it's a security feature and unavoidable (unless you're on verizon, or can get towel root to work). You can use Helium to back up as much as possible prior, and it works on non-rooted devices.

question: realised that when i dirty flash the rom after one of the theme changes, that i had actuallly down graded to full 1.7.1 from 1.8
....im guessing as the ota fiile is still there on my device that i can just flash this via twrp? .....obviously after doing a nandroid

...although it did flip the button order round :/ i was using stock bar too

its just in the the venom tweaks - buttons - navbar bit ..... if that is what you mean? ...on stock i think you can only alter the extra presses etc
