'm on a rooted c771 stuck at M100 build. I tried to update using InnoPath update. Package downloads but fails on install and reboots every time. Trying to eventually update to 150 and flash new ROM. I have the m130 to m150 downloaded from wilster. Any ideas on how to get to M130?

Exact message:

ip_previous_update_failed

Reinstalled all bloatware (except the NFL app; I didn't back that one up...) nothing. Can't remove xbin system folder. Did factory reset. Nothing. What do I do here? Anyone?

I can help you with this problem. There are three ways we can go about fixing this, int the order of what should be tried first:
1. Unroot and update - we can use my casio auto root tool to unroot, then try to update, and if sucessfull, we can root again.
2. Update while rooted - we can use the tool above to update while you are rooted.
3. Screw it and put M150 on - make an M100 FULL backup and then put the M150 Rom on. This would be as a last resort. Actaully you should make a full backup before trying any of these.

Let me know which one you want to try. I ask that before we try this could you please find and attach the m100 update to your reply. the file should look something like ipth_package.bin.

Also, I'd prefer to email you the update because upload sites are faulty, and I'm assuming you're going to upload it to your Microsoft account, and Gmail will store the files

That's fine. I sent you a PM with my email address in it.
I will be writing out the steps to take to update your phone when I can, which looks like tomorrow.

ok so to update you will need 3 things:

  1. The Latest Casio Auto Root tool
  2. The Stock Recovery Image (if you have GNM recovery installed)
  3. The Stock Boot Image (if you have a modded boot image installed)
Make sure that the above files are in the correct folders in the auto root tool. Also make sure when you plug your Commando into your pc that it is in charge only mode and that ADB is on. Then open the tool and select the unroot option. After the phone is unrooted you can flash the stock recovery and boot images if you are not stock already. Then you should be able to update the phone.normally.

As far as I know, I'm only running a rooted version of the stock factory reset of m100 build. You only have the m130 that I can flash, right? I don't want to lose my baseband
on a separate note if you could could you run the casio auto root tool and press option 7 that would be great just so i could have them

Also, the only thing I can find that contains ipth in the filename is ipth-muc.prop

What specific folder should it be in? Es cannot find it in a search
I have never done this myself sadly, but i have been told that right after it finishes downloading, i believe that it is in /data/data/com.innopath.activecare/files. I am not sure on the exact names, but it should look something like that.
