Root [International] GS3, Android 4.3 problem

Hi there guys, I have an GS 3 with 4.3 android, no rooted or anything. It moves with delay, the unlock screen comes with delay, when I enter camera is the same. A lot of delay ! I reseted it, did the cache reset..I don't know what to do anymore..

The S3 is quite a good phone, so I don't understand where the lag is coming from.

so you're saying you did a Factory reset and the phone still lags?

have you tried restoring it with the Samsung PC app?

Many S3 users have suffered this problem including me. And like most of the guys I decided to root my phone and flash Kit Kat Roms and believe me my world is changed now.
4.3 for S3 users haven't turned out to be good. Only way to finish these problems is to root and your device becomes 10 times smoother and packs with tons of features.
Samsung won't give you updates anymore if you're an international(i9300) S3 user.

So I must root for a better phone. Can you help me with that? I'll give you the details of my phone. Just need some good guides, I'm newbie when it comes to root. I'd like to root the phone and put some kitkat rom, I'd like touchwiz.

Yes. You should root your phone and flash some good AOSP (ANDROID OPEN SOURCE PROJECT) Rom. I was also newbie once and did root mine with the help of some good folks. Gimme details of your phone and I will give my 100% to help in every way possible.

Yes.. You may get a Rom based on Touchwiz but if you lean on Touchwiz you will miss the Roms like Liquid Smooth and Validus and other Roms that are Packed with tons of cool features that will blow your mind.. I've myself never flashed Touchwiz based Rom and they never run the latest version of the Roms... Anyways. First thing's first.. Go through the following li k and understand the basics from the thread "understanding the basics before rooting" do that you would have known what will ya be doing.

I've read that forum. A lot of things in there, I saw I need odin, philz for recovery. Those are for rooting the the device. Says there that if I need a custom rom. No CF auto root for this. So many infos..I want my freaking phone to work fine, not to wait 4 sec until the lookscreen turns on etc. No other themes or anything..just to work smoother! So to make my phone work better, I need to make a recovery with Philz, root it with Odin, latest version and after install a touchwiz rom 4.4? This will help? http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/development/rom-glamours5-s3-touch-s5-version-7-0-t2258723 is this a good rom?

I found a utube video about rooting from Xda: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vhSSmdqAXRM Should I follow this?

Once the recovery is flashed, Samsung Nandroid prepared. Reboot to recovery, Factory/reset, wipe Cache, dalvik and then format system.
Install Rom and then Gapps.
Make sure you've read and understood enough so that you don't end up regretting (bricking your phone). So take your time bro. Don't do it in haste. This is something needs to be done cautiously.

Alright. So after you've rotted you must make a nandroid (backup of current OS) AND for that you will need to make sure you've a custom recovery installed but even before that you need to make sure you rooted well.
To confirm root status - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.joeykrim.rootcheck

To confirm custom recovery - swich off you phone then after10 secs. Press Home+Power+Volume Up simultaneously until you see the phone booting up.
Then if you see the same recovery that you flashed it's good and if not, eithwr way you need to reboot.

Then install ROM MANAGER AND install recovery through it.

But make sure buddy, you know what a e you doing after reading so be alert.
Once you've a recovery installed and made nandroid you're always safe.

I have already did a backup with Clockworkmod, I did a backup to IEM with Hk-tool or something like that. After I installed Hypermax v9 but it has a lot of bugs. And the current version 4.3 works like shit..So i'd like a good rom with less bugs and fast respond. I'd prefer touch but I noticed u said it's not good.

I'm a big fan of NeatROM. There's two different flavours: AOSP (latest version here) and Aroma (latest version here). I think both are compatible with your phone, but I know for sure that Aroma is fine on a rooted GT-I9300

I'm only familiar with the Aroma; it's based on Samsung stock ROM (4.3) but runs better and has loads of extras. You can also choose which applications to install during the installation process so you can include as much, or as little, of the 'Bloatware' as you want.

Highly recommend.

Having less crap installed on your phone will help it run faster and more smoothly.
