Opinions? G3 looks sweet just not sure if it's worth the purchase when I have a Nexus 5. Also not sure if the physical size will bug me.
I have played with the g3 a few times and really like it however the size is the one thing holding me back. Might just stick with my Nexus I guess!
No don't do it.. I like the screen size n battery but it lags big time compared to the n5. The UI is laggy, and a big thing for me is some popular apps are not compatible with g3..like amazon, espn sports center, citibank mobile and many more
The Qhd drawn UI is easy to fix by using Nova. The G3 IMO is a better overall device than the N5, but the sd card slot and battery are a big part of that opinion.

I was going to stay on topic here...but did you say "Farm Heroes"? LOL J/K!
As for whether or not you should upgrade...that's a personal choice that really only you can answer. For me, the G3 is hands down the best phone I could have. If I were not on Verizon...I would probably have bought the N5 when it launched....and the N4 before that! I am a fan of stock android. Would I switch from the N5 to the G3? I don't know...maybe. My droid DNA was still holding up pretty well. Running stock, M8 based ROM, or ASOP based ROM it was still capable.
I wanted the G2 but wasn't the right time for me to use my upgrade so I held off and thought I would wait for the 2014 wave of phones before I decided on what I wanted. The G3 is really a zero compromise phone for me personally. It has everything I want and the UI really is quite good. I would put it above Touchwiz and Sense. It's not above stock android cause I enjoy stock. Android L looks slick...and you would have that on a N5 but not on the G3 (unless you rooted it obviously).
Why do you want to upgrade? Impulse? Or are there features of the G3 that you are missing in the N5 like micro SD storage, or bigger screen, or bigger battery?
when your wife gets you to play it and it makes you think(because it is a puzzle game) tell me how you feel about it after a while.
Not being "compatible" simply means the app devs are not doing their jobs
Most of the apps that don't show up ARE compatible with the phone but won't display in the play store because they haven't listed the LG's screen resolution as being supported.
Wives will talk husbands into all kinds of things...like children haha! I'm so totally joking but that made me chuckle

For example: I cannot download sportscenter from the play store on my G3...it's simply not shown. So I ganked it from the internet, installed it...and it works just fine. ESPN is to blame for this...not LG and these little things will be ironed out soon I'm sure. it's only the second phone with this screen resolution and it still uses the same aspect ratio so all apps should work. Sure...it's a pain in the ass but not recommending a phone for the next two years because app developers are behind the 8 ball isn't really the right answer IMO.

Ur right man. The phone was bearable case less but as soon as I slapped a thin case on it is way out of my comfort zone. It's going back today lol. I must stick to the 5" zone.Well, software can be tweaked, UI can be changed pretty quickly with a new launcher...batteries can be replaced...you can put a new case on it to change up the look...but it will always have a 5.5" screen LOL! You should be comfortable with a phone that you have to hold for 2 years
I thought 5" was too big for a phone a couple of years ago. Now I'm thinking I could go 6" LOL!
