Hi all,

I wonder if anyone else has encountered this problem.
Any other headphone/earphone works, but when I try to connect the Bose QC15 headphone, LG G3 doesn't seem to recognize it and plays music through the internal speakers.
I tried it multiple times and it does not work!
I really like the new phone and this is my only concern.
It would be great to hear from you others.
Thanks,

Hanjoe.

I am having the same issue. I'm on a plane as we speak and my QC15 keeps cutting out. The plug icon keeps disappearing and it is playing music through the phone speaker. I also have the AT&T LG G3. It's plugged in all the way.

I don't know if this makes any difference but what cable are you using with the QC15s? Is it the plain headphone cable or the one with the inline mic to work as a phone headset? Depending on when you got your QC15s you may not have received the inline mic cable at all. I got mine 3 years ago and did not, then got a set for my wife a year later and they came with both cables.

The ones I tried successfully with my phone did not have the inline mic but I can try the other cable later and see if it makes a difference.

I have the same problem as reported. I have the T-Mobile version of the LG G3 phone and a Bose QC15 without the built-in mic cable. The only way I can get it to work sometimes (this trick does not consistently work though) is to initially play the song or video through the built-in speakers, the pause the song or video, plug in the Bose QC15 headphones, and then play the song or video.

It appears to be some detection problem on the LG G3 with the Bose QC15 (and possibly other powered headphones) because my LG G3 detects all my non-powered earbuds just fine.

Mine does not have an inline mic.

I was looking at buying those headphones last week. Seems like hit or miss with this phone. Any alternatives?
I think the QC15 is still one of the best noice-cancelling headphones out in the market.
If you do not need noice-cancelling (which I find very useful on a plane), there are many other headphones that sounds great.
If I were you, I would go to a BestBuy or somewhere to actually hear the sound and choose what you like and then perhaps buy it online where it is the cheapest.

I've been using the LG Tone+ BT headphones and I have been very happy. I paid $70 for them and they have held up really well for the year+ that I've had them. I know it's a different style than the Bose but just figured I'd share.

Not all models of the LG Tones have noise cancellation but the + model does. There are newer models and I don't think the Pro model (also $70) has any noise cancellation. The $120 Ultra's do have it and improved sound supposedly but I have not tried them.

All - I found the solution for the Bose noise reduction headphones on another forum. It works and its simple. In the plastic part of the cable at the end that plugs into the headphones is a very small almost imperceptible switch with a Hi/Lo toggle. Switch to low. Simple as that. I immediately stopped having all the problems we are describing here. (This is what Narcis18 said above - but us less advanced folks didn't know what volume constrain meant - at least I didn't. :))

Hello.I had the same with my 32GB LG G3.solved it by pulling out the Jack plug from the left ear cap of the headset, you'll find there a very small slide button.slide it down to LO position.it will work for you.

While the solution with the hi/lo switch works, I found another one that works for me keeping the level on hi: just hit the play button on the headphone cable (it's the middle one).

My theory is that while my phone played, my headphones were on pause so too speak, causing Android not to recognize it. This might be a kitkat problem by the way, since it didn't happen on my old gingerbread phone.
