Anyone know if wiping cache partition and Dalvik cache causes any issues. Running simplicity 2.0. Zippy 5.0 and phils recovery.

Did this earlier and system ui and lots of other things stopped working. Had to do a restore. Thought maybe that's what happens when data gets wiped. Or maybe I had something not set right with the Faux clock 123 app. Trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong to cause this.

Backup your apps with the lg backup app or titanium backup. Boot into cwm and reinstall 2.0 and after that don't not let it reboot you out of recovery. Wipe data and then you can reboot. Set your phone backup and restore your apps via titanium backup.
Also what theme are you running and do you have the am/pm feature or no? Be careful what you do with faux clock. Just set your CPU speeds, GPU, intelliplug, fast charge etc settings. Nothing else that our kernel does not support.

Ok, thanks. Titanium backup is another issue. Seems when I backup with tb it creates the not responding thing. Lots to learn still. Thanks again.

Sorry but with tb, because I only have the LG efs icon. Do u mean backup all user apps or backup all user apps+ system data?

never ever backup system data just user apps. Just use the lg backup app it only backs up user apps.

Can't find rom on any storage so I'm downloading 2.0 from OP. Do I install rom first, then wipe, or wipe first and install rom second. Have seen it posted both ways. Thanks.

Step by step installation is in second post. When you wipe data, the other 2 also gets wiped automatically.

I know everyone is disappointed. That the built in android tethering app is no longer functioning. Boost blocked it in there latest lg software push "OTA". After they changed their available plans and prices....
Well just know that we do have root on our phones and there are plenty of options to rooted users. I'm not talking about basic tethering apks or ones that require root as our phones modem isnt dual band simul so they fail when trying to initiate modem firmware.
Fear not: i have tethering working again thru wifi with encryption and i will write a tut on in later. Also i am getting really close to a stable kitkat!!!!

Don't know why but just did a cwm phils and some of the system apps just show a green Android instead of their usual icons

Did you wipe your sdcard? Just power off and go back into philz and try again. Try your sdcard on another phone as well. Make sure its not corrupt.

No dude, my internal memory hard drive SD0, I already reboot many times and it just shows a cwm empty folder
