Root [Boost Mobile] [ROM] Official AOKP LTE Builds

I just wanted to share a little something that I think a few of you will want to try. I flashed Comadose a little while ago and noticed a substantial improvement in several areas. Seeing as I've just flashed it, I can't tell whether or not there will be any battery improvement. Just running for a short time on AOKP I've noticed that my Web pages including Tapatalk load faster. The ROM is snappier too. Looking Great so far..

UPDATE on the Comadose mod. So far it's running great with AOKP. If any of you want to give a try, it's good to go.

I've got a question for those of you running AOKP. Besides stock and the dkp kernel, have you found any other 4.4.2 kernel that'll work with this ROM ? I tried a few when I 1st flashed the ROM but they resulted in bootloops. I'm hoping some of you have had better luck.

If you have found a 4.4.2 kernel besides dkp, please share it and let us know how it runs with this ROM. I've posted this question over in the VM AOKP thread too. Hopefully we'll find out if any others have had some luck.

There's nothing wrong with the stock kernel or dkp but it's always nice to know there are other options available that'll work well with this ROM.

Thanks.

Deathly works OK. Better performance with this ROM/my phone with dkp.

Ktoonzes gives a flashing light and FCs AOL over the place.

Thanks for the quick response bro.

Nice to hear that Deathly is flashing on AOKP now. It was one of the kernels that bootlooped on me when I 1st tried it. Quantum also caused a bootloop. I wonder if anyone has gotten it to flash yet. I may go ahead and give it a try tomorrow.

Thanks for the heads up on KT747 too. I'll stay away from it for now. :)

Not bad considering how much I've been using my phone. There are more processes listed that aren't shown in the screen shot. This is with the newest dkp kernel. 7 hours of screen time too. :D:thumbup:

Damn! I was hoping...

LMAO! Bro, you'd be surprised what kind of hits you'll get when you Google UnicornPorn. I read one comment that said that's how we get rainbows. Yes........ I laughed so hard I almost fell outta my chair. :D

Speaking of Unicorns. I was just messing around and came up with this. Not one of my best but not terrible either. The UnicornPorn live wallpaper is pink. I'll leave that one be. Bro, I can picture me getting off my Harley, turning on my phone and someone seeing the pink Unicorns floating around on my screen. Nope, ain't gonna happen. LMAO! :D:D

Is there a way to add the blacklist feature into this ROM? Sorta surprising it isn't already in here.

Sorry to be outta the loop on all the options but what blacklist feature are you asking about? Let me know and I'll help you research it. Is it an option that's available with Xposed? If so, yes.

I've never used the blacklist feature so I'm unfamiliar with it. Are you talking about blacklisting an app or a #?

Another good place to inquire about it is their Google+ community.

Its an option under security settings (I believe anyways) that I also have seen available via the MMS app. It allows you add contacts or any unrecognized number to a blacklist. Disabling any notification from anyone that is on the list when they try to text or call. I believe I've seen it in several aosp ROMs including cm11 though I know for sure its in ls as it's been my DD for quite sometime now. I first saw this feature in the stock tw app as well and was happy when I saw it ported over to these aosp ROMs.

OK. I looked but def didn't see it. From what I've read it's on the to-do list.
Have you checked to see if Xposed has it? That would be a good place to look.

There are also apps available on Play that can blacklist numbers.

As far as blacklisting text messages, Chompsms has that feature built in.

Yeah just checked xposed though I'll check again in the morning. Thanks for adding comadose I forgot to install it on here. I lowered my setting down t0 27000 on here as well. Are there any other setting to mess with? If so which ones? Just trying to eek out some extra bat time. Thanks again.

I'm using Trickster. It has the Multicore Power Saving option. You can set it to 2. That's the most aggressive. I'm using SIO and FreeLunch with dkp right now.

I don't use the Multicore option anymore. I really didn't see a whole lot of improvement. You may though. Sure won't hurt to give it a try.

Where I did see improvement was with Greenify. I added Facebook and Amazon to it. Facebook is a battery freaking HOG! I use it though because I keep in touch with my friends who're scattered all over the world. The only thing is I don't get notifications. I get them once I activate the app. That's cool with me too because the notifications can get annoying. lol :D

If I were you I'd play with the gov and I/O settings. You may find a set up that works better for you. You can always go with OnDemand or Powersave.

Honestly bro.... with my set up and regular use of the phone, I can get 2- 2 1/2 days with the ZeroLemon. Sometimes less if I'm really using it a lot.
