I am looking for a messaging and dialer app that has the badge function built in. I recently upgraded my phone from 4.1.2 to 4.4.2 and all my badges disappeared, because the new rom uses different apps for dialing and messaging (hangouts). I tried Handcent SMS, but did not like it. Handcent has badges, but they are green and don't pop out like the red badges I am used to.
For email I use Aquamail and it has great badges. It actually has two type of badges, for read and unread emails. I don't want to try another launcher. I just want apps that have this feature built in like Aquamail. I tried the Nova launcher together with Unread count, but it just crashed my phone and made it unstable. My phone works great with the current Google Now launcher, and if I could just find a dialer app and a messaging app that had badges like Aquamail, it would be perfect. Thanks.
