how do I switch sim cards?

Not sure if I'm in the right place but my phone is a verizon wireless motorola XT875 CDMA. I am trying to switch it to use on consumer cellular. I bought the codes from www.sim-unlock.net and I am not getting anywhere. When I tried to do it there way it did not work and after a few emails back and forth they said sorry we can't help you. There has to some way to change the sim network pin on this phone. I own the phone and have been away from Verizon for 3+ months. Any help would be appreciated. Even if I have to lose all the info and such on the phone I am ok with that, Thank You, Mark

I haven't been following the progression of sim cards in Verizon LTE phones, but for the most part Verizon phones are CDMA only and do not have sim cards.

Also, I would highly advise not posting your email address unless you like receiving spam. Web crawlers exist solely for the purpose of snapping up your address from websites like this and sending you spam.

Well we don't have CDMA where I am, so I've probably followed it even less closely ;) But I believe that CDMA handsets use a SIM card for LTE.

However, that phone does not have any GSM support, and CDMA and GSM networks have completely incompatible 2G and 3G air interfaces. So as everyone says I'm afraid that there's no chance of that handset working on Consumer Cellular. It probably won't even work for 4G LTE (which is data only), since according to the web that handset only supports LTE band 13 (which is what VZW uses), which ATT does not use.
