Root [Virgin Mobile/Sprint] [ROM] 4.1.2 PureClarityRom v1

[Do NOT update this ROM when prompted it WILL brick your phone.]

Basically this ROM is based off of stock 4.1.2 and it has some extra features.

Notes: If you are looking to achieve a debloated ROM but are coming from stock please wipe system. You can dirty flash this after formatting the system. (Means you can flash without formatting data without issues). If you hate update messages then when a update pops up tap install later and pull down the status bar. Then hold your finger on the update notification and tap the only option that pops up. It will bring you to the app that notification originates from and you can disable notifications for that app right there.

It is not "for" a certain software version. But it is software version v5 I believe. You can wipe all but data and flash this ROM with no issues.

I'm on v7 deodexed and I'm curious if this will be compatible with my version. I'm afraid it will break root and bootloop and I'll have to use the unbrick method which I can't cause no PC. Has anyone tested this rom out yet?

Hey. First, no this rom won't brick your phone. It works with all versions. As for the unlock. Pc is not needed. Just root with towelroot app, then download the recovery/boot loader unlock zip and unzip it. Then take the aboot file and recovery file and paste them in your dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name folder with a root file manager.

if im rooted and have cwm cant i just flash the rom? why do i need to do all those steps if it doesnt break root? not tring to be rude just tring to grasp what ur saying.

Oh you have root and cwm. Ok. Your good. Just wipe your system mount and install the zip

The link for this ROM only leads you to the Mega OP page. No downloadable ROM link from there. Is a subscription required to download, or is the link just not working? I would love to have CM on this phone!

Try it from desktop. If it's still not working I'll post up another link on mediators asap

Link works for Windows desktop via wifi tether to F3. no problems loading. flashing next after nandroid backup. I love CM, and looking to enjoy it again. Thanks!

Have this issue as well. Stuck on the LG boot screen. I wiped out my system AND cache before flashing this ROM.

At least you got it downloaded. This Mega cloud service makes you jump through hoops, install apps you shouldn't need just to dl a file and then stops at 99%...very frustrating.

[Edit] Okay, Okay I got it...nobody panic, lol. Booting up now.

You might have to wipe all. I don't know it didn't need me to. I installed it twice and it booted perfectly

On zv7 did a clean flash and couldn't get past the boot animation as well

How does this ROM compare to Psycho Billy Cyanogen Flavored Rom 4.1.2? Is it lighter or heavier on resources? Is it less/more stable? Better/worse? I'm going to download this later when I get home from work and test it out. And no disrespect or anything when I'm asking about the comparisons, just wondering since these seem to be the best 2 ROMS for this phone.

It would be more or less lighter then any of the roms on these forums. I slimed it down quite a bit. Soon I'll be releasing another rom with all the lg apps deleted and so it just has the stock apps. But for now it's mainly just your average stock rom with extra apps and soon a theme.

Coming from psychobilly v6 I just wiped system and flashed. No problems at all. I wish there was less bloat but without aosp I understand why. Great ROM. Ceep up the good work.

Yeah kinda busy lately. I'll probably end up creating a more aosp version and keep this but debloat it a tad bit more. You can't really debloat it more without deleting lg apps

I can't get this ROM to load, it hangs on the LG boot screen. Anyone else have this problem and figured out a way around it? I've cleaned and dirty flashed it on both V5 and V6.

i had the same issue. what worked for me is to go into cwm and format system,dont do factory reset. install zip andshould be good.

I have tried about 5 times to get this rom to boot. I did what other people have suggested and it didn't work. Any other tricks?
