Root Should I root my phone?

Hey Guys,
Is it a good ideal to root your phone? Could it possibly ruin it?

If it's a good idea, could someone tell me the correct way to root it?

I saw a video on youtube but when I attempted to download one of the programs that was indicated, my phone gave me a message stating that the program I was attemptng to download could ruin my phone.

For both this phone and alcatel evolve, I know there are some rooting methods like eroot, kingo, Impactor..

My problem is these app could not "detect your devices". It seems that it could not have a valid connection between PC and phone

I tried “Download_Driver_1.0_Setup” from official site and no luck to either feirce or evolve.

Also tried Framaroot for onetouch evolve and not work.

Don't understand why manufactures make things so complicated.

Anyone can help, please. Appreciate any of your experiences. Thanks.

No. That is ridiculous. In fact, the opposite just happened with me. My phone has been getting continuously slower and laggier. So I decided to root it and was able to use Greenify to stop background apps from being memory hogs. Now my phone is so much faster!
